Elle Macpherson The Body Aromatherapy Foot Spa Review

Every mum loves to be pampered. This mothers day why not make you mums day that little bit special and buy her a Elle Macpherson The Body Aromatherapy Foot Spa? The Foot Spa is made by a brand called HoMedics and it is part of Elle Macphersons new "The Body’ range. Elle has developed the range so that you can maximise your beauty potential.

I first used a Foot Spa when  I was young, my Nan gave me it and I often enjoyed sitting in front of the TV and using it. I often got annoyed however that the water would run cold and that the Foot Spa itself did not have enough power to really message my feet. I was recently sent a Elle Macpherson The Body Aromatherapy Foot Spa to review and I was looking forward to a lovely pamper session which I knew I would enjoy.

The Foot Spa features many features that will make you relaxed. From mood enhancing LED lighting to Frangipani aromatherapy oil, the smell and the lighting together are the perfect combination which are going to leave you stress free. The Foot Spa has vibration message which is extremely soothing on your feet and will leave you feeling revitalise. The vibration massage will give you an invigorating massage to boost circulation and this feature can be used with or without water. Bubbles are another key feature that will leave you feeling calm and the bubbles which are delivered to the Foot Spa are delivered by 4 bubble strips. These strips enable twice the amount of bubbles to be delivered which gives your feet a better massage. For those mums who are up on there feet all day, the Foot Spa also has 2 inter-changeable pedicure attachments and 4 integrated massage rollers to roll beneath your feet for a deep, penetrating, full foot massage.

At first I was a little worried that the Foot Spa would be complected for me to use however I was proven wrong. Fine details have been added to this Foot Spa so it is easy to use, what ever age you are. The Foot Spa features a angled base, this ensures that you will get a comfortable massage. There is a easy pour water disposal feature which means you will not have to worry about spilling any water anywhere and the Foot Spa also features suction cups at the bottom which means that the Foot Spa will stay stable and you are likely not to be able to tip it over when in use.

The key feature which I loved was that The Foot Spa has a keep warm function which helps maintain water temperature. Instead of having to keep filling the Foot Spa up with warm water which can interrupt you sitting down and being relaxed, the Foot  Spa will maintain you water temperature. This function is automatically activated when the bubble function is switched on.

Overall I loved the who Elle Macpherson experience. The Foot Spa allowed me to sit and relax and I am looking forward to more nights in front of the TV. The RRP of this Foot Spa is £74.99 however at the present moment you can pick it up on Amazon for just £47.99 which is a brilliant price for such a great product. The Foot Spa is also available from Debenhams and Asda.

HMDX Wireless Speaker Review

At night I often find myself on my laptop listening to music. I enjoy using social media sites as well as writing my blog, so music is perfect to keep me entertained.  I often find that I cant get the sound on my laptop to go as loud as I like and I often end up getting frustrated that I cant hear my music. Last week I was sent the perfect little gadget to help me listen to my music every night. I was sent a Jam Plus Wireless speaker.

The Jam Plus Wireless speaker is a small speaker which easily connects to phones, tablets, laptops and notebooks. The speaker has a rechargeable battery which lasts around 4 hours, you can charge the speaker via a USB which can connect to computers, laptops or a wall adapter.

From the word go the speaker was easy to use. I used the speaker on my laptop and although I couldn't connect the speaker by the wireless feature as my laptop did not allow me to, the speaker came with a USB which I was able to use to connect the speaker to the laptop. The speaker improved the sound quality of my music and I could listen to my music much louder.

A clever feature that the makers of the speaker have included is that you can buy two speakers and pair them together which means overall you will get a much better sound which will also be much louder. Personally I would not need this feature as I find that one speaker is enough but if you like loud music or perhaps want to keep your friends entertained, this would be a great feature to use.

The speaker comes in a arrange of colours which are all bright and fun. I was sent the pink one and I love the fact that it is pretty and girly. The speaker is not heavy and you could transfer it easily from room to room or perhaps if you were going out or away it would make the perfect travel accessory. This speaker is priced at just £59.99.

Universal Textiles - Duvet Cover Review

Recently I was contacted by Universal Textiles and asked would  I like to review a product off there website just in time for Mothers Day. When browsing on their website, I was really surprised at the products they sold. From clothing, to home accessories there was something that everyone would enjoy. After taking a look around their website I decided to choose a plain colourful bedset to review

I chose a double duvet set in a brown colour as this is what fits mine and Ben's bedroom well. When it arrived I was really pleased, the cover had been sent well packaged and upon opening the duvet was of brilliant quality. The cover came with matching pillow cases and the whole set was made of 100% polyester.

When putting the set on our bed I found the fit was good. Instead of the duvet being on the large side which means the duvet would flap around at night, the duvet sat nice and snug. The design was bright and I felt it matched our bedroom well as it had a range of different brown colours on which I found looked really nice

The duvet is machine washable and it washes up very well. The duvet also drys very easily which is a huge bonus for me. The duvet can also be tumble dried and ironed.

Overall I was impressed with the duvet set. Priced at just £16.69 I think it is competitively priced with other shops which sell the same kind of duvet. The duvet set can be bought in many different sizes and colours. If you are looking to brighten up your dull bedroom this would be a perfect addition.

Wasgij Mystery Puzzle - Spring Has Sprung!

Just in time for Mothers Day I managed to complete a fantastic puzzle which had managed to capture my attention all week. The puzzle which I completed was the Wasjig Mystery Puzzle which was made up of 1000 pieces. I am a huge fan of puzzles however I rarely get time to do them. This week Maxwell sat with me and "tried" to help me put the puzzle together. Although he wasn't very good at helping me with the puzzle, it meant we spent lots of quality time together and in the end we managed to complete the puzzle.

The puzzle is more of a problem solving puzzle than a regular puzzle which you would copy from the box. The image on the cover of the box is not the image represented by the pieces so you have to look at the clues which you can find on the box and look outside the box and think what the clues could mean and what is happening in the image.

The quality of the puzzle was good. Each piece of puzzle fitted in well with one another and there were no gaps left. The consistency of the colour of the puzzle was well through out and at the end the picture looked fantastic. Each piece of the puzzle was the same size, there were no small bits mixed up with larger bits which I found to be great. With Maxwell helping me with the puzzle I was a little concerned at first that the puzzle may have rough edges but this was no problem at all as the edges were nice and smooth.

Overall the finished result looked fantastic. I personally did not guess the end result from the clues or the starting picture on the front, so it was a great surprise for me once I had finished it. I did not want to ruin the surprise of the complete picture, so I have added a picture of the puzzle half finished. This puzzle is priced at around £12 which I think is great. You are able to buy it online from Amazon.

Life Lately

I have not done a update recently on my blog of what we as a family have been up to, although I have written about what Max has been up to there are many new things in our life which are going on.

In just 2 weeks we shall be moving into our new home. We are not moving far, only 20 mins up the road however it will be a change. I don't really know the area which we are moving to so it will be fun for me and Maxwell to explore the local area. We will also be moving close to my Grandad which is wonderful. Recently I have been seeing him once a week however I am hoping to visit him more once we move. For the last 2 years we have only lived in a maisonette. Our first maisonette did not have a garden and this maisonette's garden is unusable so it is going to be brilliant moving into a house where Maxwell is able to play.

With moving, there comes clearing junk. Fortunately for us we only moved 6 months ago so a lot of our stuff has been sorted already. The overwhelming thing I have found however is all the new things I have come across since packing. Most things are competition wins however there are things which I have bought and forgotten about, just yesterday I found a huge box of toiletries and I then went on to find a ton of new swimming stuff for Maxwell which is perfect as the local swimming pool is only 30 mins walk from our new house.

A few weeks back I blogged about a weird rash I kept getting and how I had been quite poorly. At the present moment the rash is much better and I have been quite well in myself. I am hoping once we move I will be very much back on the mend and I will stop feeling less tired and stressed.

People have been asking me about my Silent Sunday photos and where I have been capturing them. As the weather has been a lot better in recent weeks, at the weekend Ben has been taking us for drives in the New Forest and down to Calshot Beach and Lepe Beach. All these places are on our doorstep. Over the past few weeks, Ii have realised what a beautiful area we actually live in and how blessed we are to live here.

Finally the most exciting news I have for you is that I will be a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding next August. I am really excited as not have I only never been to a wedding but I am looking forward to being part of my sisters wedding day. Being asked to be bridesmaid for my sister has also spurred me on to loose some weight... I am looking at either joining the gym once we move or buying a treadmill for the conservatory.

Mclaggan Smith Mugs Review & Giveaway

McLaggan Smith Mugs is a family business based in Scotland who have 20 fantastic hard working employees working for them. Each employee has a role in the process of creating the mugs which Mclaggan Smith Mugs sell, these roles include printing and decorating.

Last week I was offered the chance to have a mug sent to me and of course I said yes. I am someone who loves to recognise British work and I knew as soon as I received the mug, it would be something which was good quality and something I would enjoy using.

I choose the Manifesto - Wonderful Mum mug to be sent to me. The reason I choose this mug was because I saw it had lovely wording on it. I am quite a sentimental person so if I had received this mug as a gift from Maxwell I would cherish it.

The service which I received from McLaggan Smith Mugs was excellent. I received the mug the very next day and it was packaged well.  The mug which I choose was the perfect size for a cup of tea however if you are a fan of a bigger cup than Mclaggan Smith Mugs also offer the Manifesto - Wonderful Mum design in a larger size.

A nice thing about these mugs is that they can also be personalised. With 30 characters available to personalise the mug, you could really make Mothers Day special by giving a loved one there own special message. All personalised messages are put on the handle of the mug which means your mum will see it every single time they use it.

A McLaggan Smith Mugs will cost just £11.50 however you can also pay £5 extra to have the personalised option as well. Overall I adore this gift idea and I think it is a lovely personal present to gift your Mum this Mothers Day.

Just in time for Mothers Day McLaggan Smith Mugs are giving Mummy To The Max readers the chance to win a wonder Manifesto - Wonderful Mum of there own, to simply win this prize all you need to do is enter the rafflecopter below. Good Luck!

Zippo Lighter Review

This Mothers Day you can treat your Mum to a unique gift which can not only be personalised but also can be the perfect gift which will be handy around the house. In a range of colours and different styles the Zippo lighter is suitable for a practical mum, a outdoors mum, or a home loving mum.

The Zippo lighter is a pocket sized lighter which can not only be used around the house but also outside. Featuring a great design which makes the lighter windproof, the Zippo lighter is a must when going on adventures. From BBQs at the beach to fun garden parties the Zippo lighter is sure to impress. The Zippo is also practical for around the home and is small enough to fit in draws. It is the perfect little gadget to have if you want to quickly light candles.

The Zippo lighter comes in a range of colours and can be personalised.  From different designs, colours and the option to have the Zippo lighter engraved this gift idea can be personalised to suit every mum. Each lighter comes in a small black box and comes well presented.
A great thing about this lighter is that it will save your mum money in the long run. Instead of buying cheap disposable lighters, all you need to do is buy a can of lighter fuel and flints. This lighter could end up lasting your mum a life time and all they will need to do is occasionally top up the lighter and change the flint. Zippo lighter fluid is priced reasonably at around £4.

I was sent a chrome orange lighter which is priced reasonably at £18. This is a gift idea which will not break your bank balance.

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell has learnt how to fake sneeze
  2. Maxwell has been spoilt
  3. Maxwell has learnt to tell us when he has gone to the toilet
  4. Maxwell escaped from his cot
  5. Maxwell non stop chats and has learnt new words
This week Maxwell has learnt to fake sneeze. On Wednesday I sneezed in front of him and ever since he has been fake sneezing. He sneezes really loudly and he gets really excited doing it. I hope he grows out of it soon and hopefully in the next few days he will get bored of doing it.

Maxwell has been really spoilt this week. He has been bought new clothes, items for his craft box as well as some new items for the new house. Maxwell has also been waiting at the window to see the delivery man bring the post in the mornings as lots of new items have been coming.

This week Maxwell came and got me as he had gone to the toilet. This is quite a large step for him, so I was really happy. As soon as we move into the new house I am going to start potty training him and I hope that potty training will be a huge success.

One night this week after putting Maxwell into his cot, Ben and I heard a large bang... Maxwell had escaped from his cot. Of course Maxwell found this funny and loved running around the house once he had escaped however me and Ben were really concerned. Since he has escaped we have taken one side of his cot off and decided to buy him a cot bed. We were going to buy a cot bed for Maxwell at the new house any way, so it makes sense for him to get it a little earlier.

Maxwell speech has come on leaps and bounds again. Maxwell can now say around 20+ words and understands what these words mean. Maxwell also speaks in his own little language all day however it is nice to see that Maxwell is finally getting there with his words. I will continue to push him with his reading and word games and hopefully Maxwell will become fluent in speaking soon.

For every photo they receive on there page which is tagged "Twist Hairdressing supports the fight against cancer" they are going to donate £2 to Cancer Research.

Milton Review

Milton Mini Portable Soother Steriliser
Maxwell is now 2 years old and still has a dummy. Maxwell rarely has a dummy in the daytime however he still likes to have one at night to soothe him to sleep. This week I was sent a handy gadget, a Milton mini portable soother steriliser.

Most mornings I find Maxwell's dummy thrown on the floor which means I end up having to go and sterilise it however thanks to Milton my mornings have now been made easier as all I now have to do is add Maxwell's dummy into a sterilising solution (water and Miltons mini sterilising tablets) and into the portable soother steriliser. The whole sterilising process takes around 15 mins and once done the dummy is ready to hand back to your child. The dummy is ready to go once being sterilised and does not need to be rinsed.

The steriliser is really easy to use and includes some key features which makes life easier for parents. The Milton Steriliser is watertight and has a ultra-compact design, so you can carry it everywhere with no risk of leaks which is not only useful for in the home but also when going out. The Milton Steriliser has a versatile built-in strap that allows you to attach the device to a pushchair which means that you are not carrying it around or are at the risk of loosing it, it is also small enough to fit into a handbag. The Milton Mini Steriliser is also supplied with complimentary Milton Mini Sterilising Tablets, this means that it is ready to go as soon as you purchase it.

Overall we have found that the Milton portable soother steriliser has been a great addition to our household. Although we do not use it outside our home I have found that it has been a better option for sterilising Maxwell's dummies and I have found that it takes minimal time.

Milton Solo Travel Steriliser
Maxwell is now at the age where he can use his own cutlery and enjoys drinking out of his own cup. Whilst out and about we find that sometimes we need to clean his cutlery, especially when he drops it on the floor and also often need to clean out his cup. Normally we have problems doing this at there is limited access to such facilities when we are out to do this but Milton saved our skins this week when Maxwell decided to throw his cutlery on the floor whilst out.

The Milton Solo Travel Steriliser lets you choose between cold water and microwave sterilisation and is ideal when visiting friends over night stays or simply going out for the day. We have used the Travel Steriliser many times now using the cold water option and have found it works well and does exactly what it says.

There are many good features about the travel steriliser which include its unique twist and seal lid which keeps the steriliser 100% water tight whilst bacteria and viruses are killed within just 15 minutes. The sterilisers contents can stay sterile in the solution for 24 hours and no rinsing is required when you go to use your sterilised item. The steriliser has enough space for you to sterilise just one bottle at a time which means you are able to travel light.

Overall we found the steriliser to be great. Although we did not use it do much for bottles we found it useful to use when out and about on things which Maxwell kept dropping such as cutlery.

Potters Crouch Candles Review

As a parent I barely get 2 minutes to myself however when I do I love to relax. One of my favourite ways to relax is to stick a film on, light a candle and eat a nice takeaway. A few weeks ago I was sent a beautiful Potters Crouch Candle to relax with, just in time for Mothers Day.

Potters Crouch are based within Hertfordshire. Potters Crouch produce beautiful handmade candles which are hand-labelled and hand-finished. Potters Crouch only use the finest ingredients within each of their candles, and each scent is original and created exclusively by themselves.

I was sent a beautiful Magnolia and Vanilla Candle. From the word go I was really impressed at the high quality of what Potters Crouch manage to produce. The candle came well packaged in a neat little box. Once opening the box I inspected the candle. When inspecting the outside of the candle, it was decorated in a really pretty flower design and on the back of the candle there were instructions on how to make the most out of the candle.

Upon opening the lid of the candle I was greeted by a sweet smelling scent. The smell of vanilla stood out the most however there was also a vague sweet smelling flower smell. I decided to burn the candle and I was immediately relaxed due to the amazing smell which filled my room. I let the candle burn for around a hour however after blowing the candle out the candle still gave out an amazing smell.

Overall I was really impressed by the quality of Potters Crouch Candles. Priced at just £8.50 I believe that the Potters Crouch Candles are a real bargain and a amazing gift for any mum this Mothers Day. With a burning time of 50 hours the candle is set to last a long time and is a unique, handmade gift which is sure to impress.

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell enjoyed spending time with Nanny And Grandad
  2. Maxwell has been busy winning
  3. Maxwell is excited to be moving
  4. Maxwell went on a adventure
  5. Maxwell is preparing for Easter
Maxwell spent some time with his Nanny and Grandad this week and was excited to see them. He seems to miss them a lot and even requests to speak to them on the phone so seeing them really excited him. He played games with Grandad and enjoyed a lot of cuddles and kisses of Nanny. Maxwell was also besotted with my Dad's sun glasses and decided to prance around with the sun glasses on.

Last week I told my readers Maxwell had enjoyed celebrating World Book Day as Funny Bones. There were a lot of fantastic competitions around last week, all which gave Maxwell the chance to win books/book bundles so I entered Maxwell into them. Maxwell came out with 3 prizes which he is really happy about. The best prize he won however was on the Made For Mums Facebook page and they sent him 7 lovely books. Maxwell is thrilled and I am a proud Mummy.

This week has seen us prepare for our move which will be happening in around 3 weeks. This week we have been getting Maxwell's bedroom in order which means we have thrown some bits away. We also managed to buy bits for his bedroom. Maxwell's room needs to be packed however Maxwell is now ready for our move. His last job is to pick the colour of his new bedroom.

Maxwell went on a long car journey today to pick daddy's new bike up. We also stopped for lunch and went shopping. Maxwell was extremely well behaved and enjoyed going on the long car journey. Maxwell saw swans, the sea, boats and played on lots of apps on mummy's phone.

Over the last few weeks I have been debating weather or not to do Maxwell a Easter hunt. Fortunately for him I have decided that we will do a mini one this year in our new house in the garden. There are not many hiding spaces in the garden so the Easter hunt will be fairly easy to do. At the end of it I am going to present Maxwell with a few goodies which will not just consist of chocolate.

A Sorry

Most of my readers know I enjoy updating my blogs on a regular basis however over the last few weeks I feel I have let my readers down a little and have not blogged as much. But there is a valid reason....

Three weekends ago, I was very poorly. I had agonising stomach cramps and I was finding it hard to get on with my day to day life. I was tired and felt sleepy all the time, not only to add to this but at night I was finding it hard to sleep as I was in such agonising pain. In the end after a lot of persuasion and tears I visited the doctor and was told out of the blue I had IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome). I was pretty sure this was not the case however I was sent home with tablets to stop the stomach cramps.
After taking the tablets for 2 days, the stomach cramps had nearly gone however I was greeted with another problem, rashes. These horrible rashes had started to appear over my body. At first I thought I may have been heat rashes and I decided to just leave the rashes but as the days went on the rashes got worse, they got more itchier and started to spread like wildfire. In the end I had swelling in my face, rashes all over my body and marks where I had itched the rashes so much. After many calls to 111 I was advised to go to the walk in centre near me.

Saturday morning last week saw me pay a trip to our local walk in centre. I spent around 30 mins with a doctor who examined me and came to the conclusion that my body was firing out a lot of histamine. He could not determine why this was happing however he believed that my own body seemed to be attacking itself due to a bug that I may have caught the week before.

I was given some antihistamine to calm the rash down however I found that it upset my body for the first few days of taking it, however after easing it into my system my body has started to get used to it. 3 weeks on from the start of my problems I still have rashes and I am extra sleepy, sometimes I end up staying up until 4am as the rashes will not calm down and keep me awake however some nights I am in bed at 11pm and I do not wake up until the morning. Some days are worse than others however over a period of time I am hoping I will not have to depend on the antihistamine and  I will be back to my normal non itchy, non swelling self.

Max Rates..... March 2014 - Disney Car Bedroom Addition

If you are regular readers of my blog you will know that Maxwell has a Disney Car room. To fit in with our moving house theme this post is dedicated to Max's magical Disney Car room.

This is one of my favourite items which is in Maxwell's room. It is a lovely toy box which is fairly big. It is well made and has lasted us a long time without getting damaged although a toddler uses it every day.I believe it is great value for money and can be used for other rooms in the house other than your child's bedroom.

This is a nice addition to Maxwell's room which has not only brightened up the room but has been a great little accessory to have.

This is a fairly new addition to Maxwell's room and has not really been used yet, however I picked it up in the sale at a bargain price and I know it will be great for Maxwell in a few years to come.

Maxwell has this little set on his bed and it really fits in well with his other Disney Car bits. This set washes up well and can be bought at a good price. At the present moment Maxwell does not have a themed bed so this set makes a plain bed into that magical Disney Car theme.

This at first was hard to fit in Maxwell's room however after a little wiggling and patience we finally managed to get it to fit. I love that the shade matches the rest of the room. The shade itself lets light flow freely around the room.

Although this has quite bad reviews we have found it to be a great little product for Maxwell. It is fairly small and the material is not that thick but it is a bargain which fits into Maxwell's Disney themed room very well. This wont last you years but will see you through several.

Please note if you buy through these links I may be rewarded as these are affiliate links.

A Reflection

In 2011 I found out I was pregnant.. I was just 19, I was 20 weeks pregnant and I was scared. I worked full time as Ben did however I was scared we would not be able to provide Maxwell the life he needed or deserved as we were both in low paid minimal wage jobs and I knew for a fact we couldn't afford to spoil this little baby growing inside me. We enjoyed going out, having a social life and buying nice things which we could afford to do as we both lived with our parents and had no real commitments. From the first time we saw that little baby growing inside me we knew we would become a family and in December 2011 our life changed. Now in 2014 I am so proud I put that "selfish" life behind me and have gone on to achieve everything I have.

In June 2012 I put the effort in to make this blog and I have been overwhelmed by all the support I have had around the world. Just falling short of Mummy To The Max's second Birthday I have achieved a quarter of a million page views. That means over 250k people around the world have taken the time to look at our blog. In some ways I hope people have learnt and seen how Maxwell has completed my life and have enjoyed watching our journey and in other ways I also hope that my blog has taught people new things, provided them with a little entertainment but also shown people that not all "young parents" are the same.

The reason I started this blog was to prove that not all young parents are the same hense why I started showing people how to save money. Every month we budget.. We budget on food shopping, we shop around for the best deals and we compare prices for all our bills. We do not live a benefit lifestyle like the media so often reports. The media does not help "young parents" and I feel we get looked at everyday and judged. From people in the street to even health visitors, young parents are criticised and judged however what people see in the media is far away from the way my family and I live. I started this blog to show that the media can lie and although I do not write about it often, I hope this blog post explains certain things.

I am now 22 years old and a stay at home mum. Ben is still working full time, he works nights from 5-7 days a week which means we rarely get time to spend as a family. It makes me sad however I know if Ben did not work we would not be able to put food on the table or pay our bills. To Ben I am grateful for everything he does for Maxwell and I. As for me? I write 2 blogs, Mummy To The Max and Saving To The Max, I also enter competitions. This brings us in beautiful products for review and fabulous competition win's which we could not afford. Getting these things are a real treat and I am grateful to all the companies that send us products.

In a matter of weeks we shall be moving to our first "home". Over the last 2 years I haven't really called "home" "home" as we have lived in 2 places which I have actually found quite depressing. Although we private rent we could never afford anything "homely". HOWEVER everything I wished for has now come alive and in a matter of weeks we will be moving to a house, with a garden for Maxwell to play in, a house which has a driveway and a house which even has a park at the end of the road for Maxwell to stretch his legs in. Ben and I have had to save hard to have this luxury, this luxury was not handed to us on a plate.

I am unsure what the coming months will hold but I hope it will be happiness. Life isn't planned and tomorrow is a big mystery. From the last few years I have learnt to always get back up, no matter how tough or hard it is. I hope this blog post has inspired people my age that they can get up and show the world that we are not what the media show us as and I also hope that it has shown those who are quite small minded that all "young parents" are not the same and some of us do have a little ambition left in us. Never judge a book by its cover until you have read that book.

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell celebrated World Book Day 2014
  2. Maxwell has started to say more words
  3. Maxwell is a lot more affectionate
  4. Maxwell has been a little mischievous
  5. Maxwell is being very helpful
Maxwell had great fun celebrating World Book Day and decided to dress up as Funny Bones. Not only is this a favourite book of Maxwell's it was also a favourite book of mine as a child. Maxwell really enjoyed his day and we spent lots of time reading books together.

This week Maxwell has managed to say a few more words. New words include Peppa, Penguin, Onsie and Spider. Maxwell likes learning by seeing things so with the help of a new game which we bought him and pointing to characters that he sees he is able to learn new words. This week we purchased him some new games for his Easter present so he can maybe pick up a few more words.

Maxwell has been a lot more affectionate recently. Maxwell understands to kiss you if you ask for a kiss and he understands to hug you if you ask for a hug.  Maxwell also loves to blow kisses and loves to surprise you with a hug and a kiss.

After the crayon incident a few weeks ago, Maxwell has continued to be a little mischievous. From trying to rip curtains down from hiding food up his sleeves at dinner and throwing it in the bin, he seems to have had a little naughty side to him. Saying this Maxwell is a good boy the majority of time and after he is told no he understands.

Maxwell has continued to be helpful around the home and this week has seen him brushing the floor, throwing rubbish in the bin, tidying his room and cleaning up a spill from his drink. Although I am present when he is cleaning and being helpful Maxwell is very independent and enjoys going to get a wet wipe at his own accord and cleaning things up.
