Fathers Day Gift Ideas From Braun
Tuesday, 16 June 2015
Having lived with Ben for over 5 years now, there is a lot I know about him. One of his favourite things to do is to get his hair cut, his other favourite thing to do is making sure he looks well presented. Recently we were sent 2 Braun mens items for him to review, just in time for Fathers Day. Having moaned that his beard was looking messy and unkept along with moaning that his hair was growing long on the sides, the Braun Series 5 Shaver and Braun Cuzer came at the perfect time.
Braun Series 5 5040s Wet and Dry Electric Foil Shaver
Since I have known Ben, he has bought and tried many shavers. The most recent shaver lasted him a good while however it had many negatives which Ben hated about it. Ben hated the fact his old shaver was not waterproof and he found that it would often cut him. Ben was extremely excited to get his hands on the Braun Series 5 5040s Wet and Dry Electric Foil Shaver.
I knew as soon as Ben saw this trimmer and clipper set, he would want to use it straight away. It is a item which he has wanted to use and try out for a long time however he never got around to purchasing a set for himself. He was thrilled when he finally got the chance to review the set.
When Ben got his hands on the Braun Series 5 shaver, we put the shaver on charge. It took just one hour to charge the unit meaning that it would give Ben 45 mins full use after charge. The shaver also has the quick option charge which see's you charge the unit for just 5 minutes meaning that there would be enough power in it to give you a full shave although Ben has not used the quick option charge yet, I think this option will come in handy when he forgets to charge the device or when we are away, have ran out of charge and he needs a quick shave.
.
.
When Ben got the chance to use the shaver, he was excited. He was excited due to the fact he was able to take the shaver in the shower with him. Thanks to the shaver being waterproof for up to 5M, using the shaver in the shower was no longer a problem. He found that the shaver worked well under the water and he was able to rinse the shaver off quick and easy.
Ben found the shaver to be powerful and he said that the shaver gave him a good clean shave on his face and neck. He said that he liked the new multi headlock that the shaver featured however it is not something which he feels the need to use all the time so he sometimes opt to have the shaver on lock. He also said that he was impressed with the precision trimmer.
The only downside Ben feels that this shaver really has, is the fact that the shaver does not have a stand. He finds that a lot of space can be taken up in the bathroom with the shaver however the shaver does come with a bag which means that the shaver can be stored safely elsewhere if you do not have a lot of room in your bathroom.
This shaver can be purchased from Amazon at the present moment for £98.55.
When we got the set, we charged the item up straight away. The Braun cruZer 6 took 60 minutes to charge, as soon as it was charged Ben was ready to go ahead and use the set. Ben opted to use the beard trimmer first and he found it the perfect tool to keep his beard trimmed, looking smart and looking the exact way that he wanted. Thanks to its special click & lock functionality, the adjustable comb stays firmly in place allowing you to trim your hair to the exact length you desire. The beard trimmer allows you to choose a length from 1 mm – 11 mm. In addition, the hair comb also offers settings of 10 mm -20 mm.
Overall Ben found the Braun cruZer 6 to be great. It works on both wet and dry hair which was a added bonus for him. He found the Braun CruZer 6 to be compact and he commented on the fact it would be perfect to take with you on over night stays. Overall Ben said the results were great and this is a item which he would like to carry on using as it develops over years to come.
This trimmer and clipper set can be purchased on Amazon for just £34.99.

Father’s Day at Truprint
Tuesday, 9 June 2015
Fathers Day is just around the corner. If you saw my post from earlier today you would have seen that I love personalised gifts, this Fathers Day why not get your Dad something special from the lovely people over at Truprint? Their gifts have great meanings and they are available to buy with any budget.
I find that my Dad is difficult to buy for, he is the type of person who has everything or likes something specific which can be a nightmare to find. Luckily there is a few things that he loves in the world and this Fathers Day I thought I would go the extra mile and create him something that he would have meaning to him, I also thought of making him items which would include his hobby. My ideas steamed from his love of boats and Maxwell.
Upon browsing Truprint's website I found a great range of gift ideas to suit many fathers this Fathers Day however I did find a few items which I adored and found myself creating and buying my Dad. The 2 items which I choose to make for him were a keyring as well as lovely note pad.
On the keyring I included a picture of Maxwell on it. I did struggle to find a picture that would fit the frame that Truprint wanted me to use however once I had found the correct picture, the process of ordering the item was easy. When the keyring came, it was brilliant quality. The keyring was very thick and the picture was very sharp. I was so pleased with the quality of it, I decided to order a few more for more of our friends and family.
On the note pad I wanted to add a picture that I had recently taken of a large cruise ship in Southampton. Behind it you could identify a few passing boats as well as the famous Southampton docks which have been in my life since I was a child. When the notebook arrived, there were plenty of pages in the notebook and I felt that the notebook was of fantastic quality. The picture looked sharp and the notebook was held together with a spiral binder.
Along with my order, we also created Ben a card. Maxwell is very much looking forward to giving it to his Daddy this Fathers Day. We also created Ben a picture frame,
If you are looking to treat your Dad this Father’s Day and would love to order some of the items which we ordered, remember to use the code: LOVEMYDAD at checkout before the 15th June and you will save up to £30 off your order.
Go over and have a peek at what Truprint have to offer. Are there any gifts which capture your eye?

Fathers Day Fashion Gift Ideas
Wednesday, 3 June 2015
Fathers Day is only a few weeks away. It is always a busy time of the year for me as I have two men to buy for, my Dad and Ben. Recently I have been thinking about what gifts I can buy Ben from Maxwell. When it comes to gifts, Ben can be quite hard to buy for however he has a keen eye for fashion. Due to being a fan of fashion it is often easy enough to pick up a few trendy items to fill his wardrobe with. This Fathers day I have been checking out Scott’s, a great store full of fashion items for men! I have made a little wishlist of items that I think Ben would like to receive as gifts this Fathers Day.
What will you be buying that special man in your life this Fathers Day?

Max's Birthday Wishlist
Saturday, 6 September 2014
It is Maxwell's Birthday in December and I already have most of his presents. I wanted to share Maxwell's wishlist with you all. All the items are perfect for a 3 year old and I hope Maxwell has the best birthday yet!
I have wanted to buy Maxwell a wooden kitchen for a long time however I found them to be pretty expensive. After a lot of searching I find this one for a bargain price of £65 instead of £150. I can not wait to give it to Maxwell for his Birthday! My Sister and Parents have bought Maxwell lots of accessories so I know he's going to have great fun playing.
We are huge fans of Orchard toy games and I managed to pick this game up for just £3.80! I managed to pick some others just as cheap and I have put them away for the next few Christmas's. I love Orchard toy games as they are fun but are also educational.
Maxwell's best friend is his Mr Bean bear, so I thought it would be cool to get him another one with a different outfit on. I love how British the bear is and I love his cute little outfit. I know Maxwell will adore him as soon as he sets his eyes on him.
Maxwell is a huge fan of Peppa Pig and has already had a Peppa Pig sound book however unfortunately Maxwell broke the book. Maxwell adores pirates so this will be the perfect book to keep him entertained at bedtime.
Maxwell loves bath time and I was fortunate to win this set of sea buddies. I think these are the perfect present as there are so many buddies that the pack can be split and used later on. I love the sea animals and I love the bright fun colours. Perfect for a toddler!
I picked this game up for around £3 and I thought it would be brilliant to teach Maxwell how to get dressed but I also thought it would improve his counting skills as well as his matching skills. Maxwell loves playing games so I hope this is a huge hit.

Valentines Gifts In Unusual Places
Tuesday, 4 February 2014
Since having Maxwell I have always found it a little difficult to buy presents for Ben on Valentines day. Me and Ben used to enjoy going to the cinema, the panto or going out for a meal however we now have Maxwell to look after so I have found for the past few years that I have needed to come up with special present ideas for Ben to enjoy on Valentines Day.
This year instead of buying Ben items which I think he will enjoy and may not need, I have come up with useful gift ideas for him which I know he would need and use thanks to SportsDirect.com. The ideas I have come up will not only be useful for Ben at home but also at work and in his daily life.
Fabric Diamond Onesie - £17.50 - I thought Ben would enjoy this gift as he has been moaning that he needs a new onsie. Not only will it keep him warm in bed it will also be perfect for him to lounge around in after a hard day at work.
Nike Velox Football - £17 - Ben is always saying he want's to have a kick about at the park so this Valentines day he will get the chance to. Not only will he be able to have fun with his friends, he will also be able to include Maxwell in his football fun.
Firetrap Pop Wallet - £9.99 - For a while now Ben had been saying to me that he is need of a new wallet. I think Ben would like this Firetrap wallet due to its simple style yet its stylish look. The wallet has enough compartments and slots so this would be perfect for Ben.
Smart Sky Genius Helicopter - £10 - Ben is a big kid at heart and would love nothing more than to fly his toy helicopter around our local park. This gift would be perfect for Ben to enjoy on his days off.
Nike Turtle Neck Golf Baselayer Top Mens - £19 - Although Ben does not play golf, this baselayer top is the perfect gift for him this Valentines day. Ben works in a very cold freezer at work and often says he gets cold at night so this would be the perfect gift to keep him warm at work.
This year instead of buying Ben items which I think he will enjoy and may not need, I have come up with useful gift ideas for him which I know he would need and use thanks to SportsDirect.com. The ideas I have come up will not only be useful for Ben at home but also at work and in his daily life.
Here are my five gift ideas for Ben this Valentines Day..
What are you planning to buy your loved one this Valentines Day?
