Last Minute Safety Tips This Halloween

Halloween has arrived. It is always such a fun time for families however often people can get wrapped up in the moment and they forget how to stay safe. We have put some last minute ideas together, that will keep you and your family safe this Halloween.

  • Be aware of people not wanting trick or treaters. People with young children and the elderly will not appreciate having there door knocked on late at night, go at a reasonable time in the early evening.
  • Look out for signs on peoples houses asking for trick or treaters to stay away, also look around for houses which are decorated with Halloween decorations - these houses more than likely want trick or treaters to come round and surprise them.
  • If your child  or yourself is going outside in a costume, make sure they are wearing reflective clothing. Most costumes worn at Halloween tend to be dark, this means drivers and others out and about at night may not be able to see people dressed in dark.
  • If your child is going trick or treating, make sure they go out in a group, preferably accompanied by an adult. Make sure your child has a mobile phone with them, this makes it easier for them to alert you if something is to go wrong.
  • Make sure you know what areas your children will be going to and give them a certain time to be home by. This information will help you if there is a emergency.
  • Make sure your child knows not to enter anyone's house or to accept lifts from strangers.
  • Be wary about what treats you or your children may get off people. Some sweets may not be as they seem.

Stay safe and enjoy your evening!

Spooktastic Halloween Jelly Monsters and Witches

Halloween is just around the corner, a week ago Maxwell and I were sent some lovely goodies from Hartley Jelly. We were asked to make some fun jelly monsters out of the selection of goodies which we were sent. We were sent a range of goodies from the fabulous Hartley Jelly collection as well as some sweets and icing to make our monsters look spooktastic.

We were sent a range of ready made jellys from the Hartley collection however we were also sent packs of jelly, the packs of jelly are my favorite to make as it means I can create fun shaped jelly when I allow it to set in molds. The flavours which we were able to use when making our monster creations were Fangtastic Strawberry and Shocking Lemon and Slime. Maxwell and I were excited to start making our creation. As Maxwell is just 2 I wanted to make creating monsters easy for him.

Maxwell's first monster was decorated by  Maxwell himself. Maxwell used milk chocolate buttons to create the monsters eyes, strawberry laces to create the monsters smile and Maxwell used icing to create the monsters green, spooky eyes. The jelly which we used was the Hartley powder type and we put it into containers and allowed it to set overnight before we decorated it.

Maxwell and I wanted to create something a little different so we thought it would be fun to create a scary witch. We used Hartleys ready made jelly to create the witches hair. We created her hair by mixing up the ready made jelly and spreading the jelly around the witches head.

Maxwell then went on to give the witch earrings using chocolate buttons and icing and he gave her big red teeth using icing again. I have to say his witch turned out to look quite friendly instead of scary however everyone loves a friendly witch at Halloween?

Maxwell and I loved creating our Halloween monsters and witches and we will be making sure we continue to make fun creations out of jelly. Not only is the jelly super tasty and easy to make, it is also a desert which is not expensive to make.

If you would like more information on Hartleys products you are able to visit their website here.  Hartleys products can be found in all good supermarkets.

Sleep Tight With The Thomas Go Glow Night Light.

Since Maxwell was born it has been clear that he dislikes the dark, recently he has been a little fussier at night and demands the hallway light to be left on. Maxwell already has a night light in his room however this is on the other side of the room and is not easy for him to access. For a while now I have been looking for something which would comfort Maxwell at night, something which he could keep in bed or near his bed and something which would be easy for him to operate. A few weeks ago we were sent a Thomas Go Glow Night Light.

When the Go Glow Light arrived I was instantly impressed. The Go Glow Light was bright and included a little picture of Thomas and friends. It had little stars and moons on which instantly made me think of bedtime. Unfortunately we were unable to use the Go Glow Light straight away as we had to charge it but this was not a problem for us as we charged it throughout the day to ensure it was charged for night time use. The Go Glow Light was easy to charge and once charged it should last up to 16 hours of use.

At bedtime Maxwell was extremely excited to use his new Go Glow Light. It was incredibly easy for him to use. Whilst in bed Maxwell was able to use the Go Glow Light as a torch. He enjoyed reading his picture books with the torch and he enjoyed making shadow pictures on the wall. Once he was ready to go to sleep we carefully put the light into its charging base, once in the base it then glowed next to Maxwell's bed which was a real comfort for him.

The Go Glow Light is not only great for children to use and have fun with but it is very practical. The charging feature means that there is no need for batteries which in the long run saves money. The Go Glow Light is practical for tiny hands to use and it is also simple to operate.

The Go Glow Light retails at around £22.99 and comes in a range of designs to suit little ones tastes. It is suitable for children aged 12 months +. You are able to find more information about on the Go Glow Night Light on Worlds Apart's website.

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell has started signing nursery rhymes
  2. Maxwell went to a hearing appointment
  3. Maxwell has a newly designed bedroom
  4. Maxwell has enjoyed watching lots of DVD's this week
  5. Maxwell loves to dance
This week has seen Maxwell sing lots of different nursery rhymes however his favorite ones to sing at the present moment are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Maxwell is able to do all the actions to Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and is getting confident with saying more and more words every single day. If Maxwell is unsure on the words of the song he hums himself through that part. It is incredibly cute to see.

This week we visited the hospital, we were refereed there due to Maxwell's speech. Ben and I have always believed Maxwell's hearing is perfect however we also believe it is always best to get a second opinion. Maxwell's appointment went very well and there is no problem with his hearing at all. The hearing test was a lot of fun for Maxwell and he even sat still when he had to have photos taken of the inside of his ears. It is great to know there is nothing wrong with Maxwell's hearing and we will not have to return for any follow up appointments.

This week has seen Maxwell have changes to his room. I was sick of the mismatch furniture that we had in his room so we decided that we would buy Maxwell a new set of draws and wardrobes. It has taken me months to find something which I actually like and in the end we went for the same design of furniture which is in Maxwell's playroom. I am really happy with the new look and as it stands I have very little left to buy to get the house looking like I want it.

Maxwell has never really shown a interest in DVD's and films however this week Maxwell has enjoyed sitting down with me and watching DVD's,  This week we have watched childrens programmes and films. It was nice to sit down and watch them with Maxwell.

At the present moment Maxwell loves to dance. Every time there is a advert break, Maxwell gets up and dances. He is fascinated by the Marks and Spencer's advert at the present moment and also loves the spec-savers one. It is really funny to watch him get on his feet and tap around.

Sparkup Magical Book Reader Review & Giveaway

Maxwell adores looking through books. He is unable to read just yet however when he learns to, I know he will be a little book worm.  Every day Maxwell and I sit down and read a book together. I feel reading is important as it enables Maxwell to learn new words which will then go on to improve his speech. As many of my readers know, at the present moment Maxwell's lack of speech is a real issue and I have been wanting to try new ways to help him improve it. A while back we received a magical device called Sparkup The Magical Book Reader, ever since we received it Maxwell has been using it daily.

Sparkup is a magical book reader that is different from any other products on the market. To use the Sparkup gadget all you need to do is clip the magical reader onto the back of any picture book. In 3 easy steps you are then able to personalize the Sparkup gadget so it is able to tell your child the story inside the book. To do this you need to read through the book, when you read the Sparkup records your voice and using special technology it captures the pages you are reading off with its special built in camera. When your child then goes on to read their picture book Sparkup’s tiny camera recognises the front cover and follows the pace as they turn the pages.

Sparkup can store up to 250 minutes of audio, or approximately 50 recorded storybooks. If you do not want to record the book yourself you are able to download recorded stories, complete with sound effects, directly from the Sparkup website. Sparkup comes with demo batteries (it takes 3x AAs which should last up to 30hours of playback), as well as a USB cable to connect to your computer to back-up your recordings, and a sample book

The Sparkup has some brilliant features. It allows you to record books not only in English but in all other languages, this makes it a perfect gift for anyone around the world.  Another feature which I adore is that when recording the books you are able to add special little touches so when your child is reading the book they can hear everything you have included into the book for them. You could add animal noises into the book or perhaps even letter sound noises.

At first I was worried about the book taking a lot of my time to set up however you can record the books onto the Sparkup as you read them to your children so it actually only takes a matter of minutes instead of hours. I was also concerned that it was perhaps a lazy method of reading to Maxwell however I was also wrong as Maxwell tends to listen to me read more through out the day on his Sparkup.

If I was able to change anything about the product, it would be the fact of it being battery operated. It would be handy for the product to be rechargeable, this would save me buying batteries often. Apart from that small change as a parent I think the Sparkup Magical book reader is fantastic.

Maxwell loves using the Sparkup not only in the day but also at night. If I am not around to read him a story in person, he has the alternative of listening to me read to him through books. I think it would be interesting to get my parents to record a story on to the Sparkup for Maxwell, so he is able to hear there voices on there too.

If you are interested in buying the Sparkup The Magical Book reader, you are able to purchase it from here. Priced at just £29.99 I believe it is a great learning tool and would make the perfect present for your little one this Christmas. It will keep children entertained for hours and it can also create a lot of fun.

Mummy To The Max has a fantastic competition below which gives you the chance to win one of the amazing Sparkup Magical Book Readers. All you need to do is simply enter the rafflecopter below. Good Luck!

5 for under £5

This weeks post is stocking filler inspired. I know Christmas can be expensive so this week I hunted around for little bits that not only make great gifts but they are also friendly to the pocket. If there is any inspired post's you would like me to do, please drop me a comment below in the comment box.

I thought this watch would make a fab stocking filler as not only is it cheap but it is also a handy present. I normally rely on my phone to tell me the time however if I got myself a watch I would not spend half my day hunting for my phone to see what the time was.

I love wearing thick snoods in the winter and I would love to receive one of these snoods as a present. I chose the cream coloured snood as I thought it would go with pretty much any outfit I wear. This would keep me lovely and snug on the winter preschool runs.

I love to keep a little mirror in my bag. I like to adjust my hair, redo my make up and Maxwell even takes the time to look at himself, so I thought this would come in handy. I think the design is cute and I would love to receive one of these this Christmas.

I am always looking for a small make up bag which I am able to put all my make up in instead of allowing it to float around my bag. I love the design of this little bag, not only is it plain and simple but it is a great size to keep all the essential bits I take out with me in.

I thought these slippers were a complete steal so I have added them to my little stocking filler list. I love wearing slippers in the winter especially as we have laminate floors.  These would keep me nice and snug on the cold winter mornings.

Win Dolphin Tale 2 Goodies

Inspired by true events, “Dolphin Tale 2” continues the story of brave dolphin Winter, whose miraculous rescue and rehabilitation - thanks to the invention of a groundbreaking prosthetic tail — made her a symbol of perseverance to people around the world and inspired the 2011 family hit movie “Dolphin Tale.”

The film reunites the entire main cast, led by Harry Connick, Jr., Ashley Judd, Nathan Gamble, Kris Kristofferson, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Austin Stowell, Austin Highsmith and Morgan Freeman.

Several years have passed since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, rescued Winter, a young dolphin who lost her tail after being entangled in a crab trap. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, who developed a unique prosthetic tail for Winter, they saved her life against all odds. In turn, she helped save the Aquarium — as people came from far and wide to see the courageous dolphin firsthand, enabling CMA to greatly expand their mission to “rescue, rehabilitate and, when possible, release” injured animals.

Yet their fight is not over. Winter’s surrogate mother, the elderly dolphin Panama, passes away, leaving Winter alone and grieving, unwilling to engage with anyone, even her best friend, Sawyer. However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for CMA. The USDA warns Clay they will have to move Winter from the Aquarium because regulations require these social creatures to be paired. If they don’t find a female companion for her — one that she accepts — CMA will lose their beloved Winter. But as time runs out, there may still be Hope…

Dolphin Tale 2 is in cinemas now.  You are able to watch the trailer here. For further information, images and games please visit here.

Mummy To The Max has a fab competition for 5 winners to win a Dolphin Tale 2 rucksack and t-shirt set. To enter this competition all you simply need to do is enter the rafflecopter below. Good luck!

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell can now put his own shoes on
  2. Maxwell is repeating lots more words
  3. Maxwell can use interactive gadgets and spell words out
  4. Maxwell continues to love anything which lights up
  5. Maxwell has been enjoying lots of Autumn walks
This week Maxwell has seemed to have come on leaps and bounds. I am in a little shock that he is nearly 3 and I can not believe how far we have come together. This week Maxwell has had a great week and has learnt a lot of new things.

Maxwell can now not only put his own welly boots on, but he is also able to put his own shoes on. Admittedly they are just plain velcro shoes and it does take a while for him to put them on however it is a great achievement that he is able to put them on his self and that he can do the velcro up on them. Next I will be teaching him how to do his laces.

This week Maxwell has been repeating a lot of words, he has also been using many words. His favorite words to say this week are bag, egg and loop. Maxwell has learnt these words by doing the Alphablock app on my phone. It has really helped him learn new words and has helped him to start making the sounds of letters.  Maxwell is also able to now spell words out on interactive gadgets.  They are only short words but I think it is extremely clever for a 2 year old to be doing.

Last week I spoke about Maxwell liking light up objects, this week Maxwell has a new touch to light up walls around the house and he has a new pen which projects a light up Spongebob around the house. Maxwell adores light up gadgets and I am sure he will continue to get lots more light up gadgets to play with.

This week has seen us go on lots of Autumn walks. We are lucky in where we live, we live on the edge of the New Forest so there is plenty of places to walk to. All the walking is free, not only is it fun for Maxwell to splash in puddles and visit the park on our walks but it is also great to get exercise and to breath in the fresh air.

Fun Halloween Crafts With Baker Ross

A few weeks ago Maxwell and I were sent a lovely box of goodies from Baker Ross. The box was full of Halloween crafts. After having a look at them I was excited to start crafting with Maxwell. Inside the box there were some fun 3D Halloween Kits as well as some Halloween Scratch Art Masks. Maxwell and I settled down to complete the crafts together.

We first of all started with the 3D Halloween Kits. Inside the kit there was 4 different designs to complete. Maxwell needed quite a lot of help with this activity due to the fact that there were lots of fiddly parts, however the 3D Halloween Kits did not take us long to complete.

Maxwell and I simply arranged the paper to make a round spider body shape. The spider was attached together with a split pin, we then went on to attach the spiders legs with a split pin. Before attaching the legs Maxwell and I crinkled the legs. At first I thought we may need to use glue to attach the spiders mouth and eyes to the spiders body however the mouth and eyes had sticky packs, this made it simple for Maxwell to place the mouth and eyes on the spider.

Finally we attached a piece of ribbon to the top of the spider, this allowed the spider to hang. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the 3D kits turned out and we will be using the decorations on Halloween to scare any cheeky trick or treat guests.

After completing the 3D Kits, Maxwell and I decided to make the scratch art masks. I was really excited to create these masks with Maxwell, Maxwell needed very little help with this activity so Maxwell and I decided to create a mask each. I created a cat whilst Maxwell created a pumpkin.

The masks looked like a simple black plain mask however there were sticks in the packs to create fun designs on the masks. All you had to do was simply use the sticks to scratch away at the masks to make designs. Maxwell decided to draw all over his whilst I carefully added cat ears, whiskers and created glowing eyes however once completed the masks both looked fantastic.

Once we had completed the mask we simply attached a piece of elastic to them to ensure that they would fit round our faces. The masks fitted around both mine and Maxwell's faces and I think the end result looked brilliant.

Overall we were very happy with our Baker Ross crafts and once again were impressed by there fantastic quality. If you would like to buy the scratch masks you are able to buy them here. If you are interested in purchasing the 3D decoration kits you are able to buy them here.

Birthday Wishlist

It is my birthday in December so I figured out I would write a wishlist for my family and Ben. If I am honest there is very little I want and it took some time to actually put this wishlist together.I know I have already had a few items bought for me, those items being a sewing machine and a book by Alfie Deyes who along with Zoe Snugg are my favorite You tubers!

I love to collect perfume and after having a hunt around boots, this looked like a brilliant choice. The bottle the perfume comes in is very pretty and the scent is lovely. I normally ask for cheaper perfumes however I thought this would be lovely for my birthday.

Along with Alfie Deyes, Zoe Snugg is one of my favorite You Tubers. I have been keen to read her book for a while now so this is one of my favorite items on my birthday wishlist.

I have always wanted some sleep in hair rollers and after reading reviews these looked good. They are currently reduced to a fantastic price so I hope someone picks these up for me. I love having curly hair but since being a Mum I have very little time to curl it every morning.

I love slush puppies and I thought this little gadget would bring a whole load of fun to my life. Although it is not very suitable for winter, I love to eat slush puppies all year so this item is perfect for me.

Occasionally I like to do puzzles however I never have space to do them and if I do find space to do them, they are normally ruined by Maxwell. Ii thought this board would be perfect for me to complete puzzles on and when I get board of doing them the board can simply be put somewhere safe so I can go back to do the Jigsaw later on.

I love back combing and playing around with my hair and I thought this hairbrush would be perfect to do this with. I am surprised at how cheap this brush is as Denman are a good quality brand.

Yankee Ghostly Treats Candle Review

Halloween is just around the corner and Yankee Candle have some fun, spooky candles to get you in the spirit of things. There are 3 candles available to purchase this Halloween and the fragrances are:

Candy Corn – The familiar, sweet scent is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats.
Witches Brew – The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating Halloween spell.
Ghostly Treats – The scent of gooey toasted marshmallows is a haunting reminder of sharing spooky tales around a Halloween bonfire.

Out of the 3 candles available I picked the Ghostly Treat candle to be sent to me to review. I loved the look of the candle. The white jar stood out to me and I thought the design on the candle looked spooky and would look fantastic in my window to greet trick or treat visitors this Halloween.

When I received the candle I was impressed with the quality. I expected the candle to have a sticker round it to make up the design however the design is actually engraved into the glass which I think is great. Once I have used the candle, I shall be able to use the jar over and over again.

The smell of the candle itself is very sweet. I think it is the most sweetest smelling candle I have from the whole of the Yankee collection. The smell is not over powering but the smell does go on to fill the room. It is one of my favorite Yankee's I have.

With 65-90 hours of burn time I think this candle will see me into next Halloween as personally I would not have this candle out in my house all year round. Priced at a reasonable £16.99 I think this candle is well worth the money.

Yankee Candle have accessories, candle jars, wax tarts and even tea lights to complete there Halloween collection this year. If you would like to see what they have to offer please visit here.

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences

  1. Maxwell loves playing with toys that have bright lights on.
  2. Maxwell enjoyed spending the weekend with A.Rachel, U.Rob, Nanny and Grandad
  3. Maxwell went for his 1st hair cut
  4. Maxwell has been keeping snug and warm
  5. Maxwell's speech has continued to improve
This week Maxwell was sent some cool light up toys to play with ahead of the Baker Ross party which we were involved in. Maxwell has been mesmerized by them since they turned up at our door. He loves watching them light up and he loves making light shapes on the wall. They have kept him entertained for days and it is great to see him being creative and making fun games up by himself when using the light up toys.

This weekend Ben and I went out, we rarely get time together alone so it was great to go out for a meal and have some us time. Maxwell went to my sisters who looked after him overnight, in the morning my parents looked after him. Maxwell loves spending time with my family and is always spoiled by them. He comes home with a massive smile on his face and comes home in a happy mood.

This week we took Maxwell for his first hair cut. Maxwell has extremely fine hair so he did not have a big cut however he had a trim. At first Maxwell was extremely wary of what was going on however he sat on my lap the whole time and in the end seemed to enjoy having his hair cut. I do not think Maxwell will need a cut for a while but its great to know that the next time we go to get Maxwell's haircut, Maxwell will not be scared.

Since the weather has been cold Maxwell has not wanted to spend time in the garden or in the conservatory playing with his toys. Maxwell is at his happiest when he is wrapped up warm reading books or in our warm lounge playing with his cars. I am hoping that we will have a couple of bright sunny days soon so Maxwell can get back out in the garden and have lots of fun.

Although Maxwell is still not speaking a lot of words and putting sentences together, it is clear to see that his speech has improved. Maxwell happily speaks to us all day in his own language and now likes to repeat words from us. I am happy with his progress and I hope it continues.

5 for under £5

With Christmas just around the corner, I thought it would be a great idea to bring you a Christmas related post - 5 for under £5. These items take a while to be sent (around 30 days) so I thought this post would be perfect to post now so you can grab a few bargains before Christmas.

I have bought some of these for Maxwell, I think they will be perfect for story time at Christmas. I am looking forward to using these and making them go on fun adventures.

I thought these decorations were really cute and would brighten up the Christmas tree. I think they are a steal for 99p and I have purchased a few packs. I am unsure if they will make a appearance on our main Christmas tree but they will be on one of our Christmas trees around the house.

I love to get in the Christmas mood and I thought this cool Antler head decoration would be fun to perhaps wear around the dinner table. I have ordered enough for all of our family to wear, antlers will replace paper hats this year!

Maxwell loves to go to bed with a night light and he also loves to have a little light on in the day so I thought this LED light would be perfect to sit on his window ledge this Christmas season. I think it will brighten up his room up a little.

Maxwell loves to draw so I thought these crayons/pencils would be perfect to add to his Xmas Eve box. We love to do Christmas crafts on Xmas Eve and  I think these will get us into the Xmas craft spirit.

Worlds Apart Disney Car Ready Bed Review

Ben and  I love to visit new places however often visiting new places can be stressful. Maxwell spends 99% of his time with us so wherever we go, Maxwell comes also. We often find that when we are away Maxwell finds it hard to settle, because of this he can end up staying up late in the evenings.

Maxwell was recently sent a Disney Car's ready bed to review from the amazing people over at World's Apart. We have always been huge fans of their products and Maxwell's bedroom is kitted out with Disney Car products from their large character range. The idea of getting the Disney Car Ready Bed was to use the ready bed when we were not at home and create a calm home mood for Maxwell when we are away.

We recently went away for the night so we felt using the ready bed for the first time would be perfect. I had no idea how to set up the ready bed however after opening the box, we found that it was an easy process and it was easy to set up and then go on to use. The bed simply folds out of its cover, you need to lay the ready bed flat on a flat surface and you then need to simply attach the pump to the nozzle which allows air flow into the bed and pump the bed up.

Once pumped up the bed is ready for your little one to use. Maxwell instantly jumped into the bed with teddy and made himself comfy. Maxwell was able to climb into the bed and was able to zip the material up to keep him warm through the night. We added a pillow to the bed to support Maxwell's head, the bed itself was comfy for Maxwell to sleep on.

Maxwell slept well in the ready bed and we are looking forward to taking it away with us when we spend more nights away from home. We are also looking forward to using it at my sisters wedding. We will be taking it there incase Maxwell needs to sleep through the day or evening.

The ready bed is easy to deflate and it takes a matter of seconds to put it away. The ready bed can be folded back into its cover which makes it easy to carry as well as smaller to store or it can be left out, the choice is yours.

Overall we were impressed with the ready bed and we were happy to see that once again, World's Apart has lived up to its name. The ready bed is great quality and it is something which I would recommended to a lot of parents. The ready bed is perfect for sleepovers, nights away and it is brilliant to take out with you when visiting family and friends if your child likes to have a quick nap.

You are able to view World Aparts large range of ready beds here. Whilst you are over there why not have a look at all their other wonderful products. You will find items from their Peppa Pig range, Disney Princess range, Disney Car range and plenty more other ranges which are suitable for all different ages of children.

Max Rates.... October 2014 Fancy Dress Costumes

I have been keen to get Maxwell a space man suit for a while now. I love how cool the outfit looks and I think we could do make lots of creative photos with the suit. I will be looking to invest in one for Maxwell soon.

Quite a few people who I know seem to be scared of Clowns however we love clowns in this household. I think Maxwell would look really cute in a clown costume which includes a huge red nose. I love how colourful this costume is.

Maxwell already has a dinosaur costume which he has grown out of. I can not believe how cheap this costume is and I adore the colour of it. This is not on top of my Amazon wishlist to buy Maxwell.

I have been after a smurf costume for Maxwell for a while now. Maxwell fell in love with the Smurf film so I think he would love wearing this costume. I think it would look cool if we teamed the outfit with a face painted face so Maxwell looked all smurfed out.

I have never seen a costume like this before and I am keen to purchase Maxwell this outfit. I love how unusual this outfit is and I think we could come up with a load of ideas to use this outfit for.

This outfit is unique and I will 100% be purchasing Maxwell this outfit. I love the aliens huge head and I can imaging Maxwell wearing this costume and pretending to be scary. I think this outfit would be perfect for Halloween which is just around the corner.

If you have not seen our post you are able to view it here. Maxwell had great fun cooking for Grandad and we will be doing some more post's with Grandad in the future.

Last night Maxwell was taken to A&E. Maxwell loves to jump around however yesterday Maxwell decided to take it upon himself to jump off the sofa, he landed awkwardly and since then he has been unable to walk on his foot. We took Maxwell to the hospital at 11pm last night and we were sat around for over 4 hours to find out if there was any lasting damage, fortunately after 2 x rays we found that Maxwell has not broken any bones. Today Maxwell seems to still be in a lot of pain and is unable to walk on his foot. Hopefully he will be back to his usual self soon.

Every week I have seen a difference in Maxwell's eating habits and this week Maxwell has been trying lots of new foods, he has also had sauces on his food which is a massive step for Maxwell. Maxwell has been eating bacon sandwiches this week, eating spoonfuls of pasta in sauce and has also tried curry sauce on his chips.

At the weekend we drove over to our local supermarket and decided to pick up some puzzles for Maxwell. For weeks he has been happy doing puzzles with around 12 pieces that fit into shapes, he also loves to do floor puzzles with around 8 pieces however we thought we would push him and get puzzles with around 24 large pieces. Although Maxwell is not quite there yet with creating the puzzle, he is half way there and is learning.

This week saw me buy a exercise trampoline, unfortunately for me however Maxwell has spent many evenings this week bouncing around on it and not letting me have a go on it. He loves to jump up and down however he also loves doing lots of seat jumps on it. It is quite funny to watch and its great to see him enjoying himself so much.

Winning Wednesday

September was a good month for me however I think I could have still done better. I did not enter as many competitions as usual. Life took over and I spent a few hours a week entering competitions instead of spending a hour a night. Although I did not spend as much time on entering competitions, I was still lucky to win some great bits and pieces which will come in use to our family and home.

Huggies Potty Training Pack
With Maxwell starting to potty train, this prize will come in handy. I was thrilled to win this prize and I am looking forward to using the items I won with Maxwell. I am hoping it will save us a bit of money as potty training pants can get quite expensive. I am looking forward to its arrival.

Mega Loom  Band Box
A few weeks ago I wrote about how Maxwell and I had been loom banding for charity. I have been very busy over recent weeks so have had to take a break from loom banding but I can not wait to start again and create a large loom which we can send to the loom to the moon charity.

Sweet Dreams Squidge
I was desperate to win Maxwell one of these to go in his Xmas box. Maxwell is a huge fan of CBebbies so I know when Maxwell opens this at Xmas he will have a huge smile on his face.

Fifa 15
I was thrilled to win this for Ben. Ben is addicted to playing Fifa so it was great to win him the new copy. I love winning prizes for family members as it allows me to treat them.

A Furby
I remember having a Furby when I was a child so I was excited to win this cute little fella. Maxwell and I both love playing with him, we love his little personality however he can get annoying occasionally.

£25 Marks And Spencer's Vouchers
I love winning vouchers and I am looking forward to using these. I will more than likely use them to buy people presents for Christmas as I love buying family members great big boxes of chocolates and biscuits from Marks on special occasions.

Bigjigs Baking Set
Maxwell won this in a photo competition in which he dressed up as a chef, so really this is Maxwell's win. We are looking forward to cooking up a storm in the kitchen and getting around to use this set. There are 26 pieces in the set so there will be plenty of bits and bobs for Maxwell to use.
