Yankee Candle Festive Challenge

Recently I was contacted by Yankee Candle and asked if I would like to take part in their blogger Christmas challenge, having worked with Yankee for over a year and becoming a massive fan of their products I jumped at the chance. To take part in the challenge, I was sent the following products:

Candles

Two Medium Jar Candle Gift Set: Each gift set contains 1 x Red Apple Wreath and 1 x Angels Wings. To me these scents are the perfect scents to fill your lounge and bedroom with happy memories over the Christmas period.

Red Apple Wreath is a candle which I found last year over Christmas. To me this is a true Christmas candle which is the perfect candle to burn on Christmas Day. The candle gives off a sweet scent which consist of apples, cinnamon, walnuts and maple. The candle creates a warm, happy glow around the household and is even presented in a red colour which reminds me of Christmas. This would be perfect for the Yankee Candle lover who adores Christmas and would love to burn a scent in the afternoon, on Christmas Day when the children are playing with their presents, the Queen's speech is on and family board games are just about to make an appearance.

Angel wings is one of the first Yankee Candles I ever purchased and is one of my favorites. To me the candle has a wonderful meaning behind it. Every time I look at this candle and light it over the Christmas period, it reminds me of those that are not here today in person but are with me in spirit. It gives me a sense of warmth and happiness. The candle itself has a floral, sweet, warm, cosy scent. I think this candle is ideal for any lover but those in particular who are keen to remember or are thinking about a loved one at Christmas

This gift set consists of 2 medium jars. The RRP of these jars are £28. The burn time on each jar is 65 - 90 hours. These jars are old classics and will not disappoint you if you choose to buy them.

Sugared Apple Tealight Candles: As soon as you open the box of these apple tealight candles be prepared to be hit by a sweet, lively, crispy smell. These tealights smell as described, Sugared sweet apples. The smell of these candles remind me of baking, something which as a family we do at Christmas.I love the memory these candles easily create as Christmas is such a important time for me to create memories with my family. 

These candles make the perfect stocking filler this Christmas. They are not just great to gift and use at Christmas, they are also a fantastic gift to use over the whole of  the winter season. The candles look fantastic teamed up in an essential tealight holder but are also great for having on hand in case of any power cuts or other emergencies. With a RRP of £6.99, these candles are a simple but affordable treat. Each tealight candle burns for 4 to 6 hours.



Accessories

Everyday Essential Tea Light Holder: These are the perfect extra to accompany any Yankee Candle Tealights. These are a simple but beautiful idea to add that extra glow in your home for Christmas. Each tealight holder has "Yankee Candle" engraved into the holder. These tea light holders look like an expensive accessory however priced at just 99p, these would make a fantastic stocking filler or gift around the tree this Christmas.

Silver Reindeer Jar Candle Holder: This Christmas my whole lounge is themed with a silver touch. The silver theme makes my lounge look elegant, charming and bright. This silver reindeer holder is the perfect add on, which manages to present my Yankee candle jars to a high standard. My Yankee Candle  Christmas jars are able to sit at home in pride of place in my lounge, when visitors pass through they will ask where my beautiful reindeer decoration came from and I am able to tell them that my simple but beautiful decoration is from Yankee Candle. 

This jar holder is priced at £19.99 which I feel is fairly reasonable. This would make the perfect gift for any candle lovers this Christmas as it has a beautiful but simple Christmas message to tell. Although this holder is mainly a Christmas themed product, Yankee also offer other beautiful holders which can be used all year.

This year I have really jumped on the band wagon and filled my home with beautiful Yankee Candle scents. Every room in my house is filled with a gorgeous scent that not only reminds me of Christmas time but brings back a few memories which manage to create a few smiles in my household this Christmas. To add that extra Christmas touch, this Christmas I will also be gifting members of my family some Yankee treats.

Yankee Candle Season Of Peace

Every Christmas I write down the same thing on my Christmas wishlist. Every Christmas I always write down that I would love a Yankee Candle gifted to me. Yankee Candles are something which I love, whatever the time of year. They always put me in a happy mood and always manage to fill my home with a beautiful scent. Every year I ask for a different large scented Yankee Candle and this year I managed to get my hands on the Yankee Candle Season Of Peace.

When choosing a candle, I always love to look at the names, the colours, as well as research the scents. This year I was drawn to the Yankee Candle Season Of Peace due to the fact it had a beautiful name. This year I have found so much negativity going on in the world and I thought that it would be nice to reflect on the peace that I will find myself an my family having this Christmas season,

The Yankee Candle Season Of Peace gives off a beautiful smell. The smell is not over powering, the smell reminds me of a crisp, cold, snowy winter morning. The smell is sweet and reminds me a little of a white musk smell. The Season Of Peace Yankee Candle does not remind me of any festive smells however this candle was brilliant to receive in the winter season and so close to Christmas. I have not been left disappointed by it.

The burn time of a large Yankee candle is 110-150 Hours which is a very reasonable amount of time. I find that a large candle lasts me over a course of a month however it may last you a longer or shorter amount of time depending on how much you decide to burn it. The large Season Of  Peace candle is priced at £21.99 which I think is reasonable for the quality of candle you are receiving.

For Christmas I am looking at buying some Yankee lids which will make my Yankees look extra pretty around my house.  If you love Yankee Candles why not check out what Yankee have to offer you this Christmas?

Yankee Ghostly Treats Candle Review



Halloween is just around the corner and Yankee Candle have some fun, spooky candles to get you in the spirit of things. There are 3 candles available to purchase this Halloween and the fragrances are:

Candy Corn – The familiar, sweet scent is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats.
Witches Brew – The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating Halloween spell.
Ghostly Treats – The scent of gooey toasted marshmallows is a haunting reminder of sharing spooky tales around a Halloween bonfire.

Out of the 3 candles available I picked the Ghostly Treat candle to be sent to me to review. I loved the look of the candle. The white jar stood out to me and I thought the design on the candle looked spooky and would look fantastic in my window to greet trick or treat visitors this Halloween.  

When I received the candle I was impressed with the quality. I expected the candle to have a sticker round it to make up the design however the design is actually engraved into the glass which I think is great. Once I have used the candle, I shall be able to use the jar over and over again.

The smell of the candle itself is very sweet. I think it is the most sweetest smelling candle I have from the whole of the Yankee collection. The smell is not over powering but the smell does go on to fill the room. It is one of my favorite Yankee's I have. 

With 65-90 hours of burn time I think this candle will see me into next Halloween as personally I would not have this candle out in my house all year round. Priced at a reasonable £16.99 I think this candle is well worth the money.

Tahitian Tiaré Flower Review

A few weeks ago you may have seen my review about Yankee Candles brand new Sea Coral candle. I had nothing but praise for the new candle and I found that it lived up to its brilliant brand name. I was overjoyed last week to learn that I would be sent another candle, this time it would be the brand new Tahitian Tiaré Flower candle that had recently joined the Summer Days range.


The summer days range see's Early Sunrise, Napa Valley Sun and Tahitian Tiaré Flower join. Each candle is coloured in a pale calming colour and they all have flowery, fruity smells. I was looking forward to trying the new Tahitian Tiaré Flower due to the fact that I had never bought a flower smelling Yankee Candle before.

We have had some brilliant summer weather and overall we have had some wonderful summer days! As soon as I heard the Tahitian Tiaré Flower I knew it was the candle I wanted to choose from the summer days range. The name reminded me of warm beaches filled with happy people and a large bed of flowers.


As soon as the candle arrived I was impressed. The Tahitian Tiaré Flower came in a large jar and was white in colour. I knew instantly it would look wonderful in our home and I was keen to see how the candle smelt. After letting the candle burn for a hour, I felt relaxed. The candle did not smell strong, instead it was a soft smell that instantly relaxed me. I loved the flowery smell it gave off and from now on I will not be a stranger into buying more flowery smelling candles.

The amazing Tahitian Tiaré Flower Yankee Candle can be purchased over on the Yankee Candle Website for just £19.99 which is reasonable for the quality you get. The candle provides 110 to 150 hours of fragrance enjoyment, the candles look pretty around the home and are something which visitors will definitely notice.

Sea Coral Yankee Candle Review

Since having had my own home I adore nothing more than lighting a candle and relaxing late at night. I love to kick back, relax with a drink and smell a wonderful warm scent that I know will go on to fill my home. Many of you may of heard of Yankee Candles and they are a huge addiction of mine. 

Yankee Candles come in a whole range of colours and scents, some of my old school favorites include Black Cherry, Black Coconut and Lavender however Yankee Candle are soon to be launching a new range of summer candles. The new range is named "Holiday Time". There will be 4 new scents in the range and these include Coconut Bay, Juicy Watermelon, Sea Coral and Orange Dreamsicle.


Yankee Candle's recently gave me the opportunity to review one of their new Holiday Time Candles. After much deliberation I choose the Sea Coral candle to review as I found the name of it most fitting to myself and my family and I was also attracted to the colour of the candle.

Upon receiving the candle I was extremely impressed. Known for their quality, Yankee Candle did not disappoint. The candle was presented beautifully in its well know trademark jar and the colour instantly hit me. Although not a bright summery colour, the grey coloured candle looked attractive and would look beautiful in any home.


The smell of the candle was unique and something which reminded me of the fond memories I had on my families yacht as a child. The unique watery fresh fragrance instantly surrounded my home and I was hit with the the soothing warmth of sea musk.

The Large Sea Coral candle can be purchased over on the Yankee Candle Website for just £19.99 which is reasonable for the quality you get. The candle provides 110 to 150 hours of fragrance enjoyment, the candles are eye catching and smell beautiful. I am interested to try the coconut bay candle next as I love to group the candles around my home.
