Pandora Earrings Review

At Christmas one of my favourite type of gifts is jewellery. From my point of view you can never go wrong when it comes to picking a jewellery gift for a loved one, especially when you have sites such as House Of Fraser to help you pick that special gift. House of Fraser are home to lots of my favourite brands, one of them being Pandora.

Pandora Earrings

Pandora has been one of my favourite brands since around 6 years ago. Throughout the years I have been bought and purchased my own Pandora items and to date all the Pandora products which I own have been of brilliant quality. One of my favourite items which I own is a Pandora bracelet which I got when Maxwell was born. The bracelet is full of memories and events that will last me a lifetime thanks to the charms which are on the bracelet.

This Christmas, I opted for something a little different when it came to the Pandora brand. Instead of wishing for any more charms for my bracelet, I fancied a pair of earrings to match my bracelet. After a quick search on the House Of Fraser website, I managed to find a beautiful pair of earrings which I knew would suit my style, my needs and also match my beautiful bracelet that I love very much.

Pandora Earrings

I choose the Pandora Butterfly Silver Stud Earrings off the House Of Fraser website. I felt the size of the earrings were perfect for me. I often choose not to wear long, dangly earrings due to the fact I am a busy mum that is on the go constantly and felt something small but elegant would suit my needs.

When the Pandora Butterfly Earrings arrived I was very impressed. They were presented in a beautiful bag and box and upon opening them I found they were the perfect size for my ears. The earrings were very eye catching and pretty. They were very shiny and sparkly and I felt they would make the perfect gift for a loved one this Christmas.

Pandora Earrings

Upon placing the earrings in my ear, I was impressed to find that they were stirling silver which was perfect due to the fact I am allergic to gold earrings. I found that the earrings were the perfect weight in my ears and did not weigh them down. The earrings did not feel too bulky and did not catch onto anything whilst wearing them.

I felt that the Pandora Butterfly Silver Stud Earrings were the perfect pair of earrings not to only wear in the day but also on a night out. These earrings would be a great addition to any outfit this Christmas. Why not treat your loved one to a Pandora surprise?

5 Thrifty Things To Do With The Children This Christmas

5 Thrifty Things To Do With The Children This Christmas
______________________________________

Nasa ISS Space Station

Last year Maxwell was very impressed when he spotted Santa flying over our house on his sleigh on Christmas Eve. Santa passed just before bedtime and Maxwell thought that it was simply magical. Little did Maxwell known, in actual fact it was not "Santa" that was flying over our house but the NASA International Space station. This Christmas it will be flying over our house again on Christmas Eve and I am desperate to view it again with Maxwell, so Maxwell can have that magical Christmas Eve experience.

When the International Space Station passes over it will appear as an incredibly bright star like object. It is a bright object that may appear brighter than the moon. As the station rises (from a westerly direction) it usually gets brighter but can be a challenge to spot at first. You can use NASA's Spot the Station tool to work out when exactly you can see the International Space Station, based on the location of your nearest town/city.

Yankee Candle Season Of Peace

Every Christmas I write down the same thing on my Christmas wishlist. Every Christmas I always write down that I would love a Yankee Candle gifted to me. Yankee Candles are something which I love, whatever the time of year. They always put me in a happy mood and always manage to fill my home with a beautiful scent. Every year I ask for a different large scented Yankee Candle and this year I managed to get my hands on the Yankee Candle Season Of Peace.

When choosing a candle, I always love to look at the names, the colours, as well as research the scents. This year I was drawn to the Yankee Candle Season Of Peace due to the fact it had a beautiful name. This year I have found so much negativity going on in the world and I thought that it would be nice to reflect on the peace that I will find myself an my family having this Christmas season,

Yankee Candle Season Of PeaceYankee Candle Season Of Peace

The Yankee Candle Season Of Peace gives off a beautiful smell. The smell is not over powering, the smell reminds me of a crisp, cold, snowy winter morning. The smell is sweet and reminds me a little of a white musk smell. The Season Of Peace Yankee Candle does not remind me of any festive smells however this candle was brilliant to receive in the winter season and so close to Christmas. I have not been left disappointed by it.

The burn time of a large Yankee candle is 110-150 Hours which is a very reasonable amount of time. I find that a large candle lasts me over a course of a month however it may last you a longer or shorter amount of time depending on how much you decide to burn it. The large Season Of  Peace candle is priced at £21.99 which I think is reasonable for the quality of candle you are receiving.

For Christmas I am looking at buying some Yankee lids which will make my Yankees look extra pretty around my house.  If you love Yankee Candles why not check out what Yankee have to offer you this Christmas?

5 Family Christmas Tradition Ideas

This year is the first year I think Maxwell truly understands Christmas. Although he has still not grasped the meaning of Christmas truly and what it really stands for, he is well aware of Christmas songs, presents, family, trees, decorations and Santa. This year I wanted to make our Christmas a little different. I wanted to try 5 new family traditions that we can continue to do every Christmas.

  • This year I have started to create a box of Christmas memories. Inside the box I aim to put the following: Maxwell's Christmas list, a picture of him at Christmas, a picture of him with Santa, any letters which I may write to him at Christmas time and a Christmas day diary so when Maxwell is older we can look back at our Christmas's and have fond memories of them. I have a box of memories from 2000 and the box is fantastic. It has so many memories which I held 15 years ago which are beautiful to look back at now. It is amazing to see how the world has changed since then.
  • This year, I wanted to allow Maxwell to pick a decoration for  our Christmas tree and continue this for the next 12-16 years. To me Christmas is all about family and I adore looking at a Christmas tree that is full of love and happiness rather than the latest fashion trend. Allowing Maxwell to pick a decoration for our tree gives our tree a special meaning. I can not wait to see what he picks this year. It will be interesting to see what decorations he picks year to year.
  • Although I say Christmas is about family, I also think Christmas is for giving to others. This year I wanted to ensure others had a fantastic Christmas which meant I decided that Maxwell and I would do 5 nice things for other people. This year our "giving" will see us give thing's to others such as our friends over at Post Pals, see us donate a few pounds to charities which we would like to help and see us giving our old things that we do not need to people less fortunate than ourselves.
  • Me and Maxwell adore gingerbread and as a new tradition, I would love to ensure we decorate a gingerbread man or gingerbread house every Christmas eve. Christmas eve is always a special day for Maxwell and  I as it normally means Ben is working so we often spend the day doing lots of activities together. I know this is something which Maxwell will love to do and is something that we can continue to do in the future. You are never to old to decoate gingerbread!
  • I am obsessed with the 12 days of Christmas. Starting this year, I would love to write 12 activities down that me and Maxwell along with Ben and our families can enjoy for 12 days. I think some fun ideas would include, going to see the Christmas lights, making reindeer food, watching a Christmas film, going to the pantomime and most importantly doing something extra special on the 12th day as that day is Maxwell's Birthday!

How To Make A Profit With Bingo Online #Cash4Christmas

Money Online #Cash4Christmas

If you have read my blog a lot, you would understand that I hate wasting money and I am a bargain queen. Many of you would think that I would hate putting money on activities like Bingo however this is something I enjoy doing regularly online. I ensure that when I do it, I will always get my money back and a little extra. Although my Bingo playing idea is not a fast money making idea, it is something which generally makes me profit every month and is something which could help you make some money ahead of Christmas.

To make a profit on bingo you are going to need to sign up to Topcashback. For those that are unaware of TopCashBack, it is a site that gives you money when you spend money online. Once you have signed up and before you start earning your money you will need to clear your cookies, browsing history and download the TopCashBack bar which reminds you of any potential cashback when you are shopping online. Doing this will ensure you gain your bingo profits with ease.

-------------------------------------------------------

First you will need to sign into you Topcashback account and head to this link and find out what merchants are offering you the best cashback on a £10 deposit on any bingo site. I often find that Sun Bingo, Ladbrokes and Betfair offer great cashback on a £10 spend. I often find that per £10 you deposit, you will receive £25 back once you have used the full £10 you deposited on bingo games.

Recently I took part in the Sun Bingo offer and managed to walk away with £25.25 profit? How? I simply deposited £10 on their site and played Bingo. I used the full £10 I deposited on bingo cards and managed to cash out £10 of winnings after playing Bingo for around 30 mins. Due to me cashing out the £10 which I put upfront, I walked away with £25.25. This offer took me just 30 mins and although it meant having to wait for my returns, I was in profit. I would have still been £15.25 profit even if I had not won a single penny.

My top 5 tips to take advantage of this offer:
  • Always ensure you read the terms. Terms can often state that you that you are unable to use any promotional codes you may find online when trying to earn Topcashback. Terms often state how many people per household can take advantage of the offer. If you do not follow terms, merchants do not have to pay out your cashback.
  • Always take note of what the Topcashback amount says when you take advantage of the offer. I always ensure I take a screen shot of the amount I am meant to be getting back.  This allows me to put a support ticket into Topcashback if the amount of cashback is presented wrong when it tracks.
  • Be prepared to wait a little. Transactions for this retailer often appear on you Topcashback account within 24 hours. Transactions are usually confirmed within a month and should become payable within 30 - 60 days after the event date, this said Sun Bingo paid out my Topcashback within 2 weeks and paid my winnings within 4 days.
  • Always aim high. I often only do a cashback deal if I am making £10 or more profit. Each deal can take me anything from 30 mins to 1 hour and I believe a minimum of £10 profit is enough money to compensate me for my time.
  • Remember most deals can only be done once. I often aim to complete one bingo merchants cashback deal a month. Although it may feel like there are only 5 - 10 Topcashback deals you can take advantage of, new merchants are being added to Topcashback all the time which ensures there is normally a new bingo site to take advantage of monthly.
Please note Mummy To The Max does not promote or encourage any gambling unless the money you are putting forward is risk free. The deals I speak about on Topcashback should always enable you to cash out the money you deposited plus give you a little return on the time you spent taking advantage of the offer. I will not be held liable for any money that my readers may loose by completing any Topcashback deals.

Toilet Training & 5 Helpful Tips

Toilet Training & 5 Helpful Tips

Toilet training is a massive milestone. It is something some children find easier than others and something which can come to children at different times. Over two weeks ago Maxwell finally cracked toilet training and as of yet he has not had a single accident.

These days there is so much pressure for parents to have their children potty trained as soon as possible however what if a child is not ready? What if a child has a developmental delay? What if a child is experiencing speech delay and is does not understand the toilet training process easily? There is so much pressure out there for parents and on children to be potty trained as soon as possible.

As a parent who's child has speech delay, I felt that pressure. I was asked if Maxwell was toilet trained regularly by different people and I felt many other children were ahead of Maxwell however, whilst Maxwell was behind in toilet training he was ahead of other children who were toilet trained in so many other areas. Over time I learnt and accepted that every child is different and Maxwell would be willing to learn about toilet training at his own pace. As a parent I did not feel the need to push him. I felt that pushing him would only make him anxious and I felt that the more anxious he became, the less interested he would be.

For us, once Maxwell wanted to learn about toilet training and took a interest in us going to the toilet the whole experience was easy. We went from going on the potty regularly to using the toilet with a toilet seat, to being confident wearing pants, using any public toilet and managing to not need the toilet on long journeys.

For anyone toilet training their child and are feeling the pressure, these are my 5 simple tips.

  • We found that using a personalised story book helped Maxwell with his journey. Due to Maxwell having a speech delay, Maxwell favors learning through seeing. We read Pirate Maxwell's Potty book every night to Maxwell before bed and before long he was interested in trying little things he had picked up in his story book.
  • We felt that a reward scheme helped encourage Maxwell. Maxwell's reward scheme was made up of some colourful card from the 99p store and some cheap fun stickers which we found on the internet. We did not buy into any expensive reward books. From the get go we explained to Maxwell per 20 stickers that Maxwell got on his chart, we would take a trip to our local toy store and Maxwell would have £7 to spend on a treat. We found that as soon as Maxwell was rewarded through stickers and praise, he really worked hard to achieve his toy trip visit.
  •  As frustrating as it can be that your child is not ready to learn to toilet train, stay calm, positive and do not shout. I found that a calm approach to toilet training helped Maxwell become confident in what he was learning to do.  If I had not stayed calm through the process, Maxwell would have picked up onto my negative vibes and would have not wanted to carry on the process.
  • We found that Maxwell finally completed his toilet training journey in half term. Due to Maxwell attending 2 preschools and doing extra activities outside of preschool, he has a busy week, every week. Through half term Maxwell had more time to concentrate on learning to toilet train and it also allowed us to be around him. Being around him that week meant if a accident did happen we were on hand to reassure him accidents do happen.
  • If you are reading this and you are worried your child is not toilet trained, don't be. Children develop at different times and learn things at different paces. Our potty training journey seemed to last a life time however Maxwell has finally become confident and is happy to use the toilet in most situations.Your child is next! Stay calm, positive, offer support and do it with a smile on your face.

Seal Kid 2 Aqua Sphere Goggles Review

For a while, we have been looking to get Maxwell involved in an out of preschool activity. We looked at many options but in the end we decided to put him in for swimming lessons. The appeal of swimming lessons was great due to the fact that  Maxwell would not only be able to see his friends and interact with them but whilst going to his swimming lessons he would be learning a life skill.

Previous to Maxwell starting swimming lessons we had not taken him swimming regularly so when he started his course of swimming lessons he was not confident in the pool. After 5 weeks, however Maxwell is confident in the pool and is learning to swim with just the help of a noodle. His progress has been amazing to witness.

When Maxwell started his swimming lessons, I could see that his confidence was lacking a lot. Not only did he seem on edge with being in the water, he also did not seem confident with having to go under water and seemed to fear getting water in his eyes.

Seal Kid 2 Aqua Sphere Goggles

Recently Maxwell was sent a pair of Seal Kid 2 Aqua Sphere Goggles. Since receiving the goggles Maxwell's confidence in the pool has grown and Maxwell can now be spotted jumping into the water, swimming through hoops submerged into the water and loves to ensure his hair gets wet.

The Seal Kid 2 goggle is  a specially designed swimming mask which has curved lenses for a really wide field of vision ( 180 degrees ). Due to the clear vision that Maxwell has whilst wearing his goggles, Maxwell is able to enjoy his regular lessons whilst wearing his goggles. The fact that he has a pair of goggles on does not interfere with his sight whilst concentrating on his lesson.

The Seal Kid 2 goggles are a simple and easy fit. They are adjusted by using a side buckle and if you do need to adjust the googles the process only take a few seconds. I was able to adjust Maxwell's glasses without reading instructions and since having the goggles, the adjustment has stayed the same as when I first adjusted them.

Seal Kid 2 Aqua Sphere Goggles

We have found that the goggles are the perfect fit for Maxwell. They do not let any water in thanks to their leak-free seal and they have not come off when Maxwell has jumped in the pool or swum under water. The goggles are easy to get on and off Maxwell and the design of them is plain and simple. Maxwell says that the goggles are comfortable to wear and they are now part of his swimming kit that he wears weekly - he is more than happy to wear them. The goggles come in a range of colours to suit different childrens tastes. The goggles are suited for children aged 3 - 7 years.

The goggles are presented in a little case which is handy to add to any swim bag or to take pool side. The goggles have a RRP of £17.99 which I think is reasonable for the quality of the goggles. They are something that we would now be lost without and are a item which we will continue to use long into the future.

Huggies Little Swimmers Review

Huggies have always been a well know brand to my family. They are a brand that I have trusted for a long time and when Maxwell was a baby I was upset to find that they had discontinued their range of nappies that we had purchased for a long period of time. I have never stopped buying Huggies products however and still buy their baby wipes on a regular basis. When Maxwell decided to embark on his swimming lesson adventure, I knew that Huggies would be a great choice when it came to swimming pants.

Since starting swimming lesson's Maxwell is now fully toilet trained however we did use Huggies swim pants several times and found many positives with them.

Design - We found that the swimming nappies had a fun design on them. The pants were not only bright and fun on any adults eye but they were also appealing to children. The swim nappies included a bright and engaging design which was featured from a Disney film, a film that Maxwell was well aware of and knew and loved. The design of them was based around a underwater theme and the pants had clear images of a turtle, bubbles and also included a clear image of the Huggies logo on.

Fit - We opted for the size 5-6 fit and found that these were the perfect size for Maxwell. They were stretchy in the right places and allowed Maxwell to move freely in them, They were not skin tight and allowed Maxwell's skin to breathe. Although the pants were not skin tight, the did not allow any accidents to get out. The pants included a tear away sticky side which made it easy for Maxwell to remove the pants himself if he needed to get out the pool to go to the toilet. The tear away side in my opinion would be more relevant and a great addition to younger childrens needs using the pants as the pants could be put on like a nappy instead of being pulled up and down like a pair of pants.

Absorbency - We have found that the pants absorb well however they do not match a day time nappy/pull up pant when it comes to absorbency levels. I feel that they easily suit the needs of children who are in the water for up to 2 hours. The pants do not swell when Maxwell is in or out of the water due to the special material that the pants are made of.

Extra information -  HUGGIES® Little Swimmers® come in 3 sizes: Size 2 – 3 (3-7 kg / 7-15 lbs), Size 3 – 4 (7-15 kg / 15-34 lbs), Size 5 – 6 (12-18 kg / 26-40 lbs). The pants are suitable for boys and girls and are great for new born babies but also older children. The pants have a RRP of around £5 which makes them affordable for all. The pants can often be found on offer at our local supermarket.

What I Won October 2015

October 2015 was one of the most amazing months I have ever had when it comes to entering competitions and  it pains me to say it is one of the months where I tried the least. October was a busy month at home for me so I really focused on spending time with my family instead of entering competitions. Although I did not try hard at all I had a massive reward and I am so grateful and thankful for what I managed to win.

What I Won October 2015

Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep Book
I have never had any troubles with Maxwell sleeping however I really wanted to give this book a read after reading so many things about it on social media, google and in the press. We felt the book was a lovely read however we also felt that it did not help us at bedtime.

1D Tickets
This was one of the most amazing wins that I have had. I adore 1D so when I got confirmation that I had won tickets to their concert I was over the moon. Ben took the day off to enable us to drive to Birmingham and we had a fantastic time (I am not sure Ben agrees). It was sad to be at maybe one of their last concerts however it was also amazing to be able to go and see them live after following them for so long.

£1000 Cash
This was the last win of the month and it was the best win I have ever won. I won £1000 cash on a app on my phone called Tengi. I never expected to win such a life changing amount of money and I am truly amazed and thankful that this amount of money has made it's way to us. Cash wins are really rare and I feel incredibly lucky to win such a large sum of money.

iCandy Blanket
Maxwell won this thanks to a photo effort competition I found. I simply sent iCandy a picture of Maxwell over on Instagram and after a few weeks we got a notification that his picture was chosen to be in their upcoming brochure. I am super happy with our win and really excited to see Maxwell's face in print.

Dinosaur Toy
I recently wrote a post about how you can be a lucky winner of a Dinosaur toy, you can view this post here. Maxwell is in love with these Dinosaurs and I will continue to try and win him more Dinosaurs until the promotion ends.

As you are able to see, I had an amazing October. Did you win any nice prizes? Are you hoping to win anything in November in time for Christmas?
