Silent Sunday
Happy Easter 2013!
How much chocolate will your children be eating this Easter?
Apparently the average British child will munch through a staggering £24 worth of chocolate!
Maxwell is now 15 months old, he loves chocolate however he gets far to hypo on chocolate so this year I decided NO Easter eggs. Instead I have got him things he will use and need.
In June, as many of you would have read, I am going to BritMums Live thanks to our wonderful sponsors SilentNight Beds. Maxwell is spending his 1st night ever away from me and I wanted to get him something special.
He is off to stay with Nanny and Grandad so he has a Skoot to go and visit them with. I was stuck between buying Maxwell a Trunki or a Skoot but in the end the Skoot won as it was on a deal I couldn't resist!
Maxwell also has s few other little bits which I put into his skoot to suprise him including a book, a soft toy and a DVD. He had other gifts too including a Tomy toy eggs from my sister and a new outfit and PJ's from my parents.
We woud like to wish you all a very Happy Easter!

The Big Reunion - HERE I COME!
Thursday, 28 March 2013
Since I was small, music has always played a huge part in my life. When I was 4 I can remember watching Top Of The Pops laid down on the floor bopping my head to the music and now at the age of 21, I am still bopping.
This year I was so excited to hear many of my favourite bands from the 90's were getting back together. Atomic Kitten, Five and Blue were my top bands as I was growing up and the first CD I brought was Blue's. Liberty X, The Honeys and 911, B*Witched also got back together and all the bands formed the Big Reunion!
A TV show was formed on ITV showing how they all got back together and showing viewers the lead up to their concerts they were going to have around the UK.
I saw that they were all going on tour after the 1st few episodes were shown this year in May however I sadly missed out on the tickets to the Bournemouth Venue and decided not to go to any of the concerts however tonight whilst watching the TV programme I saw that they were doing a Christmas party and it was being held in London the day after my birthday this year.
I decided I must have tickets, and tonight me and my Sister managed to book tickets! We are going on the 14th December, to the 02 arena! I am so excited and can not wait to go! Sadly Blue will not be there as they are going on there own tour but it will still be amazing!

Stuck On You Review
Wednesday, 27 March 2013
Stuck on You is a company that specialises in labels and personalised gifts. They launched over seventeen years ago, Carrie Felton created Stuck on You. The busy Mum of three boys needed labels to identify her children's belongings for child care and nursery and found there was nothing on the market.
They first started selling labels alone but recently have branched out into personalised clothes and gifts too.
We were recently sent some amazing products to have a look at. Maxwell received:
Vests and Long Pyjamas
Everywhere Friend
Spot Pencil Packs
My idea was to create Maxwell a sleepover set and I have to say I was very impressed when I received the products. Delivery was fast and the parcel came well packaged.
The Sports Kids Bag is great! I had it personalised with Maxwell's name on the top where you open the zip. It stands out and I love the boat design it has.
It is the perfect size to fit Maxwell's stuff in that he would need for a sleepover, however it is a great size for him to take to school with him as he grows older.
The bag has many pockets on the outside which would be handy to put Maxwell's smaller items in. The bag is lined and also comes with a handy removable strap. Priced at £29.99 I think its a bargain.
I was really impressed with the quality of the Vest and Long Pyjamas. Both are made out of 100% cotton and feel very soft. I loved the fact I could personalise the vest and the trousers with the same design and I also like the fact that Maxwell could wear both separately with other things. The Pyjamas fitted well and had a little room for Maxwell to grow into. The vest is priced at £6.50 and the Long Pyjama bottoms are priced at £6.50.
I ordered Maxwell a Non Personalised Everywhere Friend. I did love the Teddy that Stuck On You had to offer however she seemed a little to girly so in the end I decided to go with a Hippo for Maxwell.
Although not personalised Maxwell's new Hippo is lovely. He is soft and very cuddly. I liked that the Hippo had a bandanna bib on, just like what Maxwell wears. Everywhere Friends are priced at £11.99 each.
Finally I took a look at the spot pencil packs we were sent. I had them personalised with Maxwell's name. The first thing I noticed were the bright colourful dots that were all over the pencils. They really stood out. The packs come with 7 triangle shaped art pencils and 10 skinny triangle pencils. They are great for little fingers as they are easy to grip. They are priced at £9.50.
Overall I would rate my whole experience at Stuck On You 5/5

A Week Of Learning And New Experiences
This week has been entertaining!
Maxwell has learnt new tricks!
- Maxwell has managed to walk around much better and is getting on well with his shoes.
- He has been badly teething
- He got his first Mr tumble magazine, which kept him entertained for hours
- He likes to play more independently
- He got a set of Playmobil, from a friend and loves to play with it.
- He has learnt to climb the sofa.
- We got a new WII and Maxwell likes playing bowling with me on it.
When Maxwell got his new shoes earlier on in the month, he hated having them on his feet. He has never had anything on his feet apart from socks and struggled to get used to the fact he had shoes on, however he has come on leaps and bounds over the last week and loves walking around in his shoes.
Maxwell now nearly has a whole set of top and bottom teeth. He has been badly teething this week as several teeth have been coming through on the tops and bottoms. He hasn't been making much of a fuss, he just finds it hard to eat certain things. His favourite thing to eat is fish and soft potato.

This week we given a big box of Playmobil. I always thought Maxwell was a little to young as it has smaller pieces that he could choke on, however once I removed the smaller pieces he had lots of fun playing. He has started to play more independently this week and loves his new Playmobil. The stuff we were sent was second hand from a friend but I have decided I will buy him some new sets for Christmas.
To my horror Maxwell has learnt to climb the sofa and once he is up, he balances on the arm and scales the wall so he can sit on the window sill! We have a big window sill which is more like a seat and he loves to sit up there and watch the cars go by. I get very scared he may fall off and I keep telling him how dangerous it is! I am hoping soon he will grow out of it.

Giggle Giggle Beach Robe and Fleece Review
Tuesday, 19 March 2013
Are you looking for fun and funky clothing?
Something handmade from the UK?
I was recently introduced to a company called Giggle. Giggle Giggle provides cool kids clothing that combines high quality with all-season practicality to create eye-catching design.
Giggle Giggle was founded by Sue Worker to create the same high quality, fashionable children’s clothes that she wanted for her child and make them available to other parents.
I was excited to see what Giggle Giggle had to offer. As a parent I am always on the lookout for items which are unique and are good quality. I also look at how practical the item is and how it washes on a regular basis. I hate to buy Maxwell clothes to find they easily mishape or even start getting holes in.
We were sent an Animal Farm patterned fleece top and a lovely Boys Navy Beach Robe.
When I first saw the two items, I thought they looked great. The fleece was brightly coloured with funky animal prints over and the robe was a lovely deep blue colour with boat motifs on.
On close inspection you can see what fantastic quality the fleece and the robes are. They are both handmade in the UK which I think makes the products even more unique. I am a strong believer of supporting UK made products.
First I looked at the fleece. It is made of thick material and it is stitched well. I loved that the product had a fun design on however I do prefer Maxwell in darker colours and thought the colours were a little girly as it has pinks and purples on.
I liked the shape of the fleece, it fitted Maxwell well. The arm length was the correct length and so was the body of it. I was initially worried about the material bobbling but I needn't have worried. I have washed the fleece several times and it is still soft and bobble free after a few washes.
Next I took a look at the beach robe. I loved the beach robe and personally think they are great for children as they have many uses. You can use it on the beach, after a swimming lesson or even when your child gets out the bath.
The bath robe is made of 100% cotton toweling and is soft to touch. It kept Maxwell warm after getting out of the bath and made it easier to dry him.
I liked that the robe had a pocket on the front and I think this will be handy in the summer when we take Maxwell to the beach as he can put a few of his own things in there.
The robe washes well and is a great product that many parents should invest in.
Giggle Giggle clothing is priced quite highly. However you do get what you pay for. Good quality childswear made in the UK.
Overall I would Giggle Giggles clothing range 4.5/5.
You can view the range on their website.
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review.
However we did receive the product for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion

Pom-Bear Teddy Shaped Potato Snack Review
Teddy shaped Potato Snacks
Gluten Free, Suitable for Vegetarians and Low in Calories!
Recently me and Maxwell were sent a range of Pom-Bear Snacks to try. They are Teddy Shaped Potato Snacks which are very appealing to children.
I was excited to try these as Pom-Bear potato snacks are gluten free, 97 calories a pack, free from artificial colours or preservatives and are approved by the Vegetarian Society.
Me and Maxwell were sent 3 different flavors of pom-bears. We were sent ready salted, cheese and onion and also prawn cocktail.
When I normally buy crisps I buy ready salted and salt and vinegar, so I was excited to try the prawn cocktail crisps and the cheese and onion ones.
Me and Maxwell tried each flavor over a 3 day period and here are our findings:
Ready salted: The ready salted is my favourite. They leave a great taste in my mouth. Maxwell is only 15 months old and also enjoyed these the best. We found that the shape was perfect for him to hold in his hand and are a great snack to give to him which is quite healthy. He didn't eat a whole bag but he ate a few and really enjoyed them.
Prawn cocktail: The prawn cocktail taste is very good. It's not as strong tasting as some other brands that I have tried in the past. Although they are not strong they are quite sweet tasting and will be great for kids of all ages. Its unique taste and texture give a light, crispy bite and melts in the mouth.
Cheese and onion: I normally dislike cheese and onion however I found these were quite nice. They tasted quite cheesy and they were not strong flavoured These are Ben's favourite and he said he would defiantly buy these again.
These snacks are great for all ages. I love the fact that they are teddy shaped and this would be great for party's and for kids lunchboxes however I also would not be ashamed to take them with me to a picnic or to work. They taste great and are a favourite in our house. I cant wait to try some more flavors.
Overall I would rate the Pom-Bear range 5/5.

Hallmark's Notecard and Card's Review
Monday, 11 March 2013
Are you looking for that perfect card for that special occasion?
Do you want to get the right message across?
Everyone around the world celebrates a special occasion throughout the year. Like many others I have started to buy my cards online however when Hallmark said they would send us a selection of their cards I was happy to see what they had to offer.
Currently, Hallmark's greeting cards, gift wrappings and other personal expression products are translated into more than 30 languages and sold in more than 100 countries. All their products are very popular.
We were sent a range of 2 birthday cards, 1 card suitable for Easter and 3 blank cards and some blank notecards.
I took a close look at the different cards we were sent and there was a good range. There was something to suit different sexes, age groups and different occasions.
First up were the Disney and Warner Bro's classics. The cards we were sent were blank, so they were suitable for most occasions. The pictures on the cards were detailed well and I was able to recognise the character on the front. The quality of the cards is really good and in my own opinion they are more suited to teenagers and adults.
The Happy Birthday cards and the card suitable for Easter were part of the Sew Cute range. Each card has a cute picture on the front with bright coloured wording, the cards looked fun.
Inside the card there is a quick message. The message is printed in fun writing again which suited the front of the card. There isn't a huge amount of space to write in this card so these would be suited for people who write less and also children.
Finally I took a look at the notecards, each pack comes with 10 notecards and envelopes.
We were sent 2 different packs, both had different prints, circles and flowers. The prints are themed more around the pink so are much more suited to females.
The notecards are quite small however I believe they have enough space to get any message across. I recently wrote one to a friend and I was able to fill the space well. The quality of the notecard is good and I would defiantly buy more.
Overall I would rate Hallmark's card and notecard range 5/5.
You can view the range of cards and notecards on Hallmarks website.

Maxwell's First Pair Of Shoes - Clarks
Friday, 8 March 2013
For Christmas Me and Maxwell got lots of vouchers, so I decided to pop along to John Lewis to see what shoes they had for Maxwell. I had no clue what we were looking for and I wanted a pair of shoes that fitted well and would be comfortable for him. He has never worn a pair of shoes before.
We got to John Lewis and had a look at the shoes that were on display. There were lots to choose from however I was surprised to see how much they had to offer to little girls compared to the little boys.
We sat and took a number and we had waited for our number to be called. After a short wait we chatted to the sales person. She told us Maxwell would need his feet measured. Maxwell had his feet measured and we found out he was size 5H.
The lady went out the back and brought some shoes for Maxwell to try on.
Maxwell tried on 2 pairs and it was decided he would need the 1st pair which were pre-walking shoes. They needed Maxwell to walk round the store, he refused and stood there smiling at the lady who served us.
We ended up buying Maxwell a pair of Clarks shoes - My first shoes. The shoes come in a soft blue leather with a protective rubber toe and fastens securely with two rip-tape strap. They also feature a little dinosaur on them.
Maxwell loved his shoe fitting and loves to toddle around in his shoes! He is growing up too fast!
This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

Hallmark's Story Buddy - Abigail
Wednesday, 6 March 2013
Are you after that unique gift?
Something that shouts out wow?!
Hallmark recently sent us one of their characters from there Story Buddy range and me and Maxwell were really excited. We were sent Abigail. She is a little fluffy bunny with big floppy ears and wears a pink leotard with a tutu. At first I thought she was very girly for Maxwell but I have now came round to the idea, not only would she be the perfect Easter present for any child but also why can a boy not like pink!
Abigail comes with her own story book "Abigail and the Balance Beam". The book is all about Abigail trying her very best on the balance beam, and never giving up.
For Abigail you can also get ‘Abigail and the Tea Party’; a story of a special tea party hosted by Abigail’s mummy and ‘Abigail and the Lost Purse’ which follows the discovery of some dress up clothes. These are stories that she is also able to interact with.
You can now also download an app suitable for use on iPhones and iPads, that includes a short animated story about Abigail that can be played aloud through the app’s internal narrator or recorded by a loved one to add a personal touch to the tale. The app also includes child-friendly puzzles and an interactive game that lets your child play dress-up with Abigail.
Overall I would rate the Hallmark's Story Buddy Abigail 5/5.
You can find a range of Story Buddies on Hallmarks website.

Pretend To Bee Monster Costume Review
Friday, 1 March 2013
The Perfect Gift for your little one!
Giraffe, Monster, Monkey, Dalmatian and Flower! You decide!
Recently Pretend To Bee offered us the chance to review one of their lovely onsies.
World Book day is fast approaching and knowing how much Max loves monster books I knew exactly which onsie to pick.
World Book day is fast approaching and knowing how much Max loves monster books I knew exactly which onsie to pick.
The onsies came in 5 cute designs - Giraffe, Monster, Monkey, Dalmatian and Flower. It was a hard choice to pick one, we were stuck between the giraffe and the monster but we choose the monster onsie in the end so Maxwell could be the noisy monster we often read to him about.
The onsies come in sizes 6/12 and 12/18mnths. I ordered Max the 12/18 month monster onsie, He is now 14 months old and the onsie fits him perfectly. The light blue fluffy material is so soft and is quite thin so Maxwell will not over heat when he wears it.
It comes as in one piece and zips up at the front. The onsie also has a tail which was my favourite feature. I also loved the fact the costume came complete with horns and spikes just like any real monster would!
Overall I would rate the Pretend To Bee Monster Costume a buzzing 5/5.
The whole range of Little Pretend To Bee can be viewed on their website.
Pretend To Bee is a brand name for an exciting range of children's dressing up clothes.
They are a family run business and have been retailing our range of dressing up costumes since 2005. Their quality costumes are hand-picked by our dedicated team.
