A Drive Through The New Forest - #31daysoffun

Ben, Maxwell and I are extremely lucky to live where we do. I think we take where we live for granted however every so often I am reminded why we live in such a special place. When my friends visit and say "instead of waiting for people to cross the road, we have to wait for pony's to cross the road" or "instead of driving through cities you drive through green beautiful countryside" I know we are on to a winner. Truth be told we live in a beautiful place, we live in the New Forest and it is simply beautiful.

Some of the best things which we love to do in the New Forest is eat ice cream, go on car rides, look at the beautiful scenery and visit the beautiful coast. Some of the best things tourists love to do is visit Beaulieu Motor Museum, Peppa Pig World and amazing places like Bucklers Hard. People travel miles to visit however the New Forest is on our door step.

Every so often Ben and I love to get in the car and drive through the forest, Maxwell loves to sit in the back of the car and adores me winding down my window. He loves the wind in his hair and he loves looking at the beautiful sites all around us.

On Friday, day 7 of our 31 days of fun we decided to take a little tour round the New Forest. The weather was beautiful and the view was clear, we could see for miles. On our little trip we managed to find a heard of cows, see fish at hatchets pond and we also managed to see some of Maxwell's favorite animals on the road - New Forest Pony's! It is an amazing experience to get so close to the pony's, they are beautiful creatures and really make our drives memorable.

On our drive we stopped at Calshot beach, from Calshot beach you are able to look across the Solent and see the Isle Of Wight. On Friday the Solent was alive with yachts due to the fact that it was Cowes Week. Sailing has always been a big part of my life so it was lovely to watch the boats sail on by.

On our way back home we stopped off for a Ice Cream at Carlos, Carlo's is a ice cream parlor which has been around for years. It is a family run establishment and all ice cream is made by the people that work there. It is a great little place to visit and somewhere which we love to go. The ice cream tastes beautiful and they have lovely little tea rooms also where you can grab a bite to eat. All prices are reasonable and it is perfect for families.
