Rug Doctor Spray Review

Are you looking for a clean fresh house?
Easy to use cleaners which do the hard work so you don't have to?

Maxwell, Ben and I live in our flat. We have family members, friends and even pets in. We have cream carpets and they end up taking a lot of abuse from our dirty shoes, a clumsy toddler and spills as well as crushed in crumbs.

We were recently sent a set of sprays to review from Rug Doctor. We were sent Odour Remover, High Foot Traffic Cleaner and Spot and Stain Remover. I knew instantly the Spot and Stain Remover would be used first and I decided to put it through its paces.

The Spot and Stain Remover is great for using on carpets or upholstery. It is great at tackling fresh stains such as food, beverage spills, crayons, chocolate and grease. I decided to try it on the carpet where Maxwell had mushed a banana in. I was keen to remove the stain as it had left my carpet all brown.

Directions:
1. Remove any solids or excess liquids.
2. Generously spray area.
3. Lightly agitate stained area working from edges toward center.
4. Blot with a paper towel pressing deep into stain.(Difficult stains may require a second application)
5. Rinse with water and blot to dry.

Once I had followed the directions, I found the stain had been removed from my carpet. I did not have to make a lot of effort and I was happy with the final results. The spray was easy to apply and I found my carpet dried quickly after using it. I would say this is a must have around toddlers.

Next week we are having visitors round I decided my sofa could do with a spray with the odour remover. My sofa does not smell bad however I just thought it could do with a freshen up as it is used daily by everyone and I was sick of the stains Maxwell had left on it from his sticky hands.

1. Remove any solid matter from treatment area.
2. Shake well
3. Apply full - strength by pouring, mopping or spraying solution on problem area.
4. Do not blot or wipe - enzymes need moisture to work. Place a damped, colour-safe towel over the treated area and let dry naturally. In most cases it's best to allow area to remain moist for 24 hours. Highly contaminated areas may require a second application.
5. Once dry, if discoloration remains, simply dampen with water and blot.

Once I had applied the spray I left it overnight and I was impressed with the results. My sofa smelt great and I was impressed to see that the marks had gone. My sofa was left smelling fresh as well as looking fresh.  I would definitely reccomend this spray.

Sadly we were unable to review the High Foot Traffic Cleaner as we need a Rug doctor machine to see the best results but look out for a review later on in the year where we will be reviewing the rug doctor.

However we did receive the product for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion.

  1. These look great. I've seen the Rug Doctor machine before but never the sprays.
I think we could do with the Spot and Stain Remover for our carpet.
