Boxed Nativity Set by East of India Review

As a child at Christmas we always had a Nativity Set at our window. It was something which I loved and adored. Since moving out of my parents house and having created a family of my own, I have been wanting to get my hands on a Nativity Set. I have been on the look out for a wooden one that I knew would last, I was looking for one which I knew Maxwell could also enjoy and create childhood memories with.

When our Boxed Nativity Set by East of India arrived it was presented in a beautiful wooden box. I loved the idea of the Nativity Set coming in a wooden box as it fitted in well with the design of the figures from the Nativity Set and it also created a safe place for the figures to lay when not in use. On the front of the box the simple words Nativity Set were written.

Upon opening the box I was greeted with 11 little wooden figures as well as a wooden arch. Each item inside the box stood at 4cm tall and the arch stood at around 10cm. The figures and the arch were decorated in pastel colours and each item had been hand painted. The items had also been hand crafted which was a nice added touch. It was clear to see that each of the items had been made with a lot of care and love.

After opening the box, Maxwell and I got the figures and arch out of the box and set them up by our window. The little figures fitted perfectly into Maxwell's small hands and Maxwell enjoyed playing and creating a scene with them. Maxwell loved playing with the animals, he loved mooing like a sheep and neighing like a horse. He loved marching the wise men up and down our window seal.

Although Maxwell loved playing with the nativity set, I would be cautious of smaller children playing with this set.  As the pieces are small, I would be worried about smaller children putting the pieces in their mouths. If you buy this set and have smaller children I would say that adult supervision needs to happen when this set is out.

This beautiful Nativity Set can be purchased from Born Gifted at just £19.99. Born Gifted offer free standard delivery on this item. In my eyes £19.99 is a reasonable price due to the hard work that goes into making this item but also how unique it is. The Nativity Set makes a great gift but it is also a brilliant set for parents to buy. The Nativity Set can teach children the real meaning of Christmas. Maxwell is a tad young to be learning this at the present moment however in a few years time, I will sit Maxwell down and tell him the meaning of Christmas and hopefully this Nativity Set will help me to do this.

I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review.
However we did receive the above products for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion.
