- Maxwell can now put on his welly boots.
- Maxwell has started to get his summer wardrobe ready.
- Maxwell has had a lot of visitors.
- Maxwell loves to go and see the trains.
- Maxwell and I are doing a makeover in our garden.
This week Maxwell has learnt to put his welly boots on. Maxwell's welly boots are placed near our conservatory door and Maxwell knows he must wear them if he is wanting to go outside in the garden. Normally I have to help Maxwell to get them on and off but this week Maxwell has surprised me by running in to the lounge with them on and demanded to go outside in them. He now just has to master his shoes!
This weekend we have been busy shopping. In a few weeks time we are going away on holiday to Wales which means Maxwell is in need of a few new clothes as he has grown out of most of the things which he had last year. Luckily I have been picking bits up when I have seen them cheap however Maxwell is still in need of a few things. This weekend Maxwell was treated to some new shorts, sunglasses, trousers, jelly shoes and a new hat to protect him from the sun. Maxwell adores his new sunglasses and keeps wearing them around the house.
Maxwell had a lot of visitors last week. We had visits from Nanny, Great Grandad and A.Rachel. Maxwell loves spending time with our family so it was really great to see them all. Nanny bought Maxwell sweets and Maxwell adored them, mainly as they were pig shaped and Maxwell has a love for Peppa Pig at the present moment. Maxwell had fun giving Great Grandad HIi5's and he loved playing and seeing A.Rachel.
At the back of our house there is a train line. 2-4 trains run past it every hour and Maxwell loves the trains going past. Since we have lived here I have forgotten that they are even going past as I have got used to the noise however every time one goes past Maxwell screams "train". At the end of our road there is a train bridge and this week I took Maxwell to the train bridge. We waited for the train to fly under the bridge and Maxwell was very amused and happy he got to see the train. I am planning a journey on a train soon for Maxwell to enjoy.
This weekend we have bought lots of new items for our gardens and managed to clean and tidy them up. They were left in a little bit of a mess from the last tenant who lived here and I found them to be a little unwelcoming to our visitors (especially the front garden). The front garden was in need of a little care so I removed the weeds with some help from my mum and I have now laid some stones which makes the front garden looks very nice and welcoming. The back garden has been mowed, cleaned and the path has been washed and brushed and we are expecting some new furniture and play items for Maxwell to arrive this week. I will update everyone on our garden once everything has arrived.
Aww, gorgeous little boy! I love that he loves the trains, so cute!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable! I know how important it is for little boys to learn how to put their welly boots on; it's like a rite of passage!
ReplyDeleteBet he loved all his visitors and all the new things he can do!
ReplyDeletecutie, sounds like he's had a good week x
ReplyDeleteMy two older boys LOVED trains. My husband would take my eldest to the station every Sunday morning and get a platform ticket so they could watch the trains!
ReplyDeleteAw it sounds like lots of preparations for summer which are always the best kinds of plans - I love that he's getting his summer wardrobe ready - very well prepared! :)
ReplyDeleteAh sounds like he is doing so well. So cute x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy but fun week. I love getting out in the garden and can't wait to spend more time in ours now most of the house is finished :)
ReplyDeleteAwww! Our two little boys love to put on their wellington boots for themselves- although with four boots the chances of them getting on the right feet are limited! I bet your first train journey together will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely when kids can master being more independent - and putting on their own welly boots is an important milestone. Well done, Maxwell.
ReplyDeleteSo cute how Maxwell put his wellies on :) A train journey sounds lovely, must do that with my son this summer.
ReplyDeleteAw, what lovely milestones! Good luck with your garden project!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful week. It's great that Max loves watching the trains go past rather than them being a nuisance. And super well done for putting on your welly boots Max - High Five! :-)
