MUMMY TO THE MAX

Since I was younger I have always remembered having a lot of cheese around the table at Christmas. I have some great memories of me and my Grandad eating it as we were the 2 whom often opted to eat it with a selection of crackers instead of a Christmas pudding. I love to eat different cheeses however I only often tend to eat cheese at Christmas.


I was surprised this week when Castello sent me a lovely parcel in the post. When opening the parcel I found a personalised stocking with my name on and there were a selection of their cheeses wrapped up for me to open to get me in the Christmas spirit. I thought it was a lovely way of sending me the parcel and I enlisted Maxwell to help me open the parcels which he enjoyed doing.
The were sent a selection of cheeses which included the following :
Creamy Blue - This cheese is very soft and it has a creamy texture. I has a rich taste.
Traditional Danish Blue - This cheese is full of flavour.  It has a strong taste which blew me away.
Pineapple Halo - This is a nice creamy fruity cheese. Ideal for those with a sweet tooth.
Creamy White - A rich and creamy cheese which has a buttery taste.
Tickler Cheddar - This extra mature cheese has a smooth texture and has a delicious tangy taste.

Overall I really enjoyed eating the Pineapple Halo cheese. I enjoyed its sweet taste and enjoyed eating something which was a little bit different to something which I normally would eat. This cheese will be making it on to our cheese board this Christmas.
Mawell enjoyed eating the Tickler cheddar cheese. It was perfect to cut into slices for him and did not crumble like some of the other cheeses.  Maxwell enjoyed having the cheese with cheese on toast.
