Are you looking for a action packed film?
A fairy tale which will keep you on the edge of your seats?
Me and Ben rarely get to spend any quality time together however last weekend we sat down and watched Jack The Giant Slayer. Armed with the trusty remote, snacks and drinks we dimmed the lights and prepared ourselves for a adventure.
Jack The Giant slayer is based around the old classic tale of Jack and the Giant Beanstalk. Jack is a young farmhand who unwittingly opens a gateway into the world of giants, an ancient war is reignited as the giant warriors seize their opportunity to reclaim the land they lost centuries before. As Jack swings into battle for his kingdom and its people, and also for the love of the beautiful Princess Isabelle he finds himself face to face with the fearsome fighters.
Ben and I really enjoyed the film. The DVD is rated a 12 however I found that some of the scenes maybe a little scary for younger viewers, saying that it would be a great film for families with older children.
The film had great graphics as well as special effects. We found that the giants are a little gruesome as they go around eating people but look really scary and have amazing costumes.
The film is action packed and Ben and I especially loved the battle at the end of the film which kept us on the edge of our seats. The plot is exciting and has moments which will keep you guessing. Humour is also added into the film which is always a plus and this was given to the viewer by Ewan MacGregor who was perfectly cast as the brave and noble knight Elmont.
The film was quite fast moving however it kept us entertained. The film includes love, a little violence, a hero, a badey and a surprise ending which bought the film into the 21st century.
This film includes a Ultraviolet code which is a redemption code which you get when you purchase the DVD which allows you to download the film on up to 5 different devices so you can share it with friends or family by using a Flixter account. I love this idea and will be sharing the code with my friends and family so they are also able to enjoy the film.

I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review.
However we did receive the product for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion.
