    So Call Me Crazy!

    Am I crazy??
    Do I like to prepared?
    Do I like a bargain??
    The answer is YES!
Its 329 days until Christmas!  Most of you are properly thinking we have only just celebrated Christmas, why is she talking about Christmas??? However I have something to admit!
I have already been getting Christmas/Birthday presents for everyone in my family this year.
     I love to start early!
I can not go into detail about what I have already brought my family as they read my blog however Maxwell already has a few treats which have been hidden in a box that are ready and waiting for him to use.
I love a bargain and sometimes can not stop myself buying things, I also win things which helps me make sure everyone is a little spoilt on their special day.
This week I got a huge bargain and I may have to give Maxwell it before Christmas because I love it so much and I just know Maxwell will as well.
However I managed to buy him a Mega Bloks Race car Twirl and Whirl!

On Friday night I was lucky enough to win a Amazon voucher - Just £6.
I waited till Saturday morning to have a quick search on Amazon and found this Race car on the Amazon website in the sale.
£25 reduced to £8.50, so I quickly snapped one up. I added my Amazon voucher and managed to bag this for just £2.50! Bargain!

The start of the week brought me new happiness, I woke up to found I had won some more bits, a top for me and something else for Maxwell.

A ZingZilla Doll that Maxwell will love! The doll dances and sings.
Maxwell is a bit to little to use at the moment however he has really got into dancing and when he is a little older, I think this is something he can play with and appreciate.

Finally I found a old box today of things that I have had a while and I found some things I brought/won last year for Maxwell however I had completely forgot about them.

    Some Books
    A Few Cuddly Toys
    and
    Some Lego

All which will be great for this years Christmas/Birthday.

Each month I hope to continue to add to my collection and by December I hope it has built up enough so I do not have to go out and do any shopping.

Am I the only one to be prepared or do you start collecting presents for Christmas early?
We would love to hear your stories!

    Review - Little Dish Meals

Recently I was sent some vouchers to buy some Little Dish Meals. I popped to the local Waitrose supermarket to find some.
I find it important for us to make sure that Maxwell has a balanced diet which is healthy as possible. We try to make as much home-made food as we can. Sometimes I find it hard to cook a meal from scratch so I was happy to give these quick and easy meals a try.
    Little Dish Meals:
    • Use 100% natural ingredients
    • Are free from added salt and sugar
    • Have no additives or preservatives in their meals
    • All meals are taste tested and approved by a team of little testers
    • Most of all they are very tasty
Our local supermarket is not huge so we didn't manage to get all the meals that Little Dish have to offer however we managed to pick up Chicken and Butternut Squash Pie and Pasta Bolognaise. We managed to get 4 meals, 2 of each.

The packaging which the meals come instantly stood out at me. It is brightly coloured and shows clear wording which makes it easy for people to see which each meal is.
Each meal also includes a character on the packaging which is a great idea for little children. I especially love the fact they have Max the monkey!
The packaging includes a fun activity for the child to enjoy doing perhaps when their meal is being prepared.
    Pasta Bolognaise

Maxwell tucked into his Pasta Bolognaise and looked to be enjoying it.
The Pasta Bolognaise dish is made up with Macaroni pasta with great British beef mince in a fresh tomato sauce. Little Dish purée 5 vegetables into this tomato sauce to make it as nutritious as possible. The sauce makes up one of your child's vegetables a day.
When Max ate the Pasta Bolognaise he seemed happy to eat it. The pasta was the perfect size for him and there was not a chance that he was able to choke on the pasta pieces.
Maxwell ate the whole dish. We added a little sprinkle of cheese over the top just to give it a little more flavour.

    Chicken and Butternut Squash Pie

    chicken-butternut-squash-pie_s_1_200_0

Chicken is not normally Maxwell's favourite dish to eat. He normally finds it hard to chew the chicken, however Little Dish proved once again just how great there meals are.
Once I had heated the meal up, Maxwell looked keen to tuck in.
The chicken was cut into tiny chunks which where the perfect size for him. The butternut squash provided a sweet flavour and the mashed potato topping was lovely and creamy.
When trying Maxwell's meal to see how hot it was, I was surprised at how well it tasted. I think Little Dish should bring out parent ones.
I would rate Little Dish meals a huge 5/5
Overall Little Dish meals are great quality and are always guaranteed to go down well with many children. There is a huge range to choose from so there is something out there for everyone.
Little Dish meals are the perfect solution you need to produce a quick and easy meal. All the ingredients are 100% natural and the Little Dish meals are healthy for children. They are not priced expensive. When we got them on offer they worked out cheaper than some other meal options we have tried with Maxwell.
Head over to Little Dish Facebook or their Twitter account to find more information and join in lots of fun.
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review.
However we did receive the product for review purposes.

    Silent Sunday

Preparing for our biggest trip..... yet.

Since having Maxwell I have never had to go anywhere long distance with him by myself. I have always had Ben or my family to hold my hand. Next week it all changes, we are going to London.
We are going for a special event which no-one actually knows about yet but I couldn't be more scared if I tried.

The train journey is for one and a half hours each way and we are going from Southampton to London. We also have one stop to battle with.
I have done it a few times before without Maxwell but add a baby, a pushchair and a changing bag into the equation anything could happen.

    Things I am scared about:

    1. Being late for the train - We are booked on to the 9 am train leaving Southampton, however when I rang South West trains up they told me I would have to collect the train tickets from a machine, I have no clue where the machine is nor how to even get the tickets. I think we will leave our house early.
    2. The journey - I rang South West trains up to ask was it possible to travel with Maxwell in his buggy. Its small and lightweight and I can not see him sitting still for a hour and a half. I was told I would either have to collapse it which I really do not want to do or if any disable places are free I am able to put his pushchair here but if anyone disabled gets on then I will have to move. I was also told they were unable to reserve seats which is irritating. Has anyone ever experienced taking there children on the train in a buggy? Any advice would be great!
    3. The Change of train - We only have 10 mins to change trains, will this be enough time? If not we will be standing around waiting for the next train to come.
    4. London - I have a 20 min walk when we get to London to our destination. I am going to print a route off before we go however I hope we do not get to lost if not ill be jumping in a cab.
I have decided I need to take minimal luggage but enough toys, food for Maxwell to be entertained. I have already decided we can stop off at Pret a Manger for lunch as I have a gift voucher.

I am excited but also very nervous! Look back soon to see how it all went! Did we have a successful trip or not?

    Prize Wish List

As many of you know not only do I do my blog I also spend my spare time entering competitions.
Last year was great and seeing as I only comped for 7 months I won some fantastic things that have benefited us as a family.
I managed to win a Silvercross pushchair with a photo effort comp. The pushchair was worth £120 and was welcomed into our home with arms wide open.
I won a luxury weekend away worth £800, something which we would never of been able to afford and it was lovely to get away as a family.
I won a PSP, a £50 staples voucher which I brought a printer with and many DVD's for me and ben but also a lot of children's DVD's for Maxwell.
I was also extremely lucky to win tickets to the Olympic Paralympic closing ceremony. Unfortunately me and Ben never went however we gave the tickets to my sister. She loved going and always says to us its a experience she will never ever forget.
Along with many of prizes it was a great year for us all.

This year has not started of great, with Ben having his hours reduced times are harder for us then ever. This year I want to focus my wins on our family. Things that will benefit Maxwell and Ben but also stuff for my parents and my Sister and her partner.

So here's my wishlist for 2013:
    A Holiday/ Weekend Break

    A Day trip somewhere

    Some toys for Maxwell

    Disney Car Stuff

    A cool Kitchen Gadget

    Some shopping/food vouchers

    A posh dinner somewhere

    Some Recipe books/ Cooking class

    A new changing bag/Pushchair

    Some Fitness Equipment

    Some Clothing

    Something Pandora related

Anything Caravan/Yacht related for my parents

Anything house related for my sister

    Christmas/Birthday presents for people

So, that's my wishes! Is there anything you would like to win you this year?

    Bargain Hunting! January 2013!

As many of you know I love a good bargain and this year I have had a lovely amount.
This year I didn't hit the shops straight away, instead I waited until around the 10th to start my shopping in the sales and it seemed I still managed to pick up some lovely bargains at fantastic prices.
For me I managed to get a Paul's Boutique bag reduced from £66.00 to just £35 but with a extra 20% discount and a £15 gift voucher I got for Christmas I got this bag for just £13.00.

I also managed to get these Hollister Tracksuit bottoms for £16 reduced from £35!

Today M&S decided to reduce there sale items even more and as I had a gift voucher for Christmas I decided to use it to get Maxwell a few things. The annoying thing was I kept adding stuff to my basket and every time I went to pay the items would be out of stock. However I did manage to get a few things.

I managed to get Maxwell, Mike the Knight dressing gown and matching PJ's. It should have cost me
£25 for the 2 items however I managed to pick these up for just £8.

In a few weeks me and Maxwell have been invited to a amazing opportunity in London. I decided Maxwell would need a new outfit for the event and today I found what I was looking for.
This outfit should have cost me £22 however I picked it up for just £5.50
All this should have cost me £148 however I managed to buy it all for just £42.50.

    Disney Cars Bedroom

For a while now Maxwell has been outgrowing his cot, so this week we decided it was time to invest in a new cot bed for him, not only was it time for a new cot bed it was also time for a brand new change in decor.
I'm board of his baby room, its just brown and cream. I wanted to add something bright and colourful to his room, something that would last him for a few years, something which he would enjoy and love just as much as we do.
We came to the conclusion we would love a Disney themed room for Maxwell. After searching high and low we were left disappointed as we were not able to find any Finding Nemo bedroom stuff so we had to change our plans and go for a Disney Cars Room.
I have spent a lot of time this week on the internet searching for things for his room. So far we have managed to buy the following:

    1. Night Light
    2. Wardrobe
    3. Blanket
    4. Duvet set
    5. Toy box
In the next few weeks, I am hoping to get some curtains, another duvet set, lampshade, bin and some further accessories. The curtains are proving a big problem as we are unable to find any Disney car curtains that have eyelights or tab tops.
Eventually we also may buy the toddler bed to match his room however my main concern is if Maxwell grows out of it quickly then we will need to buy a new bed again, which will end up costing us a lot of money.

I would love to know what amazing bedroom themes you child has?

    Goodbye Huggies Nappys!

For a while now I have known that Huggies were getting rid of there nappy's however today it was finally confirmed to many people who did not know that they would no longer be making them. In a few months they will not be available to buy anywhere in Europe except for Italy.

When Maxwell was a newborn I swore by Huggies, however as he has got older we have had a few problems but we would still buy them now and again.
The good news to all Huggies fans is that Huggies will still continue to make wet wipes which we use a lot as well as there other great ranges which include Potty Training pants and DryNites pyjama pants & bed-wetting mats, pull ups and little swimmers, so not all is lost.

How many of you out there will this affect, we would love to know! What brand will you be buying in the future?
We wish Huggies all the best in the future and maybe one day hope to see the return of their nappys.

This is a official email I received off Huggies earlier:

    Hi Helen,
Sadly, today you will receive your last monthly update from Huggies® Club. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause, however, you can continue to find nappy change tips and advice by visiting Huggies® Club. We will also continue to keep you up to date by e-mail on great offers in store, promotions and news from Huggies®.

From spring 2013, Huggies® nappies will no longer be available to buy in the UK and Ireland. However, you'll still be able to buy Huggies® nappies in most retailers over the next couple of months – we will keep you updated on where you can still find them from January. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please visit Huggies® Club.

We will continue to make Huggies® wipes to keep your little one fresh and clean and care for your baby's skin. We will also continue to sell our great range of Little Swimmers® swim nappies, Pull-Ups® Potty Training Pants and DryNites® Pyjama Pants & Bed Mats.

Thank you for your continued support,

    Love Huggies

Cloggs Signature Range - Catherine Review

Are you looking for some new footwear that celebs love? Then I have the perfect shoes for you.
Recently Cloggs have brought their own Merino wool boots out as part of their signature range.
There are two styles to choose from, The Catherine, a short boot and The Victoria, a tall boot.  Both styles are available in chestnut or black.
I chose to review The Catherine in Black which retail at  just £59.99.
Celebrities such as Frankie Essex from the hit series The Only Way Is Essex is a huge fan!

Over the years I have tried many boots like Ugg's and have never found anything better than the original. The high-street fashion stores such as Primark, New Look and Peacocks do a cheap copy and the soles would wear away after a few weeks. Blow fish and other branded names boots would fold down at the back so I would be unable to wear them.

The Catherine boots I was sent looked great. They have a crown stamped back plate on the back which shows their identity to the Cloggs brand but also makes them stand out. They look very fashionable. They were lovely to walk in. The sole is a snowflake anti-slip sole which is great as we live on 2 big hills which get quite icy and slippery in the winter. I feel confident walking in these boots unlike I feel when I wear other footwear.

The boots have a thick, Merino Wool Lining to keep your feet warm and cozy. Whilst walking around in them my feet were just as warm as they are in my Ugg boots. I managed to wear thick socks with these and a pair of tights and the boots still remained comfy on my feet.

For £59.99 I feel these boots by Cloggs are great value for money. They are made well and very fashionable too. They are in the same league as the Ugg boots that I have and at half the price, I think they are a good bargain to complete any wardrobe. The look great and are incredibly comfy.
These would be a great treat to yourself to start the new year or perhaps would make a great present for a loved one for there birthday or perhaps a valentines day treat.

Overall I would rate The Catherine boots a brilliant 5/5

You are also able to find great offers and news over on there Twitter and Facebook Page.

I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review.
However we did receive the product for review purposes.

    Unlucky 13

At the moment I am feeling like the most unluckiest person in the world. The number 13 has always been a lucky number to me especially as I was born on Friday the 13th however maybe my luck is changing and its starting to bite me in the bottom.

This week Ben was told some news that turned our world upside down.
Ben has been working for the last 7 months, a 40 hour contract. Yesterday he was told due to his employers not making enough money he has had his hours cut down to just 15. Not only this he was given 3 days notice this would happen. At the moment the future is unclear for us. Its a horrible feeling of the unknown and its a scary feeling.

A few weeks ago I ordered a cupcake maker, it was something I had wanted for ages and had been patiently awaiting its arrival. Finally it arrived today, only to find that it is broken. A whole lot of use to me. I was left feeling so disappointed as I had planned to try and bake a few cupcakes with Maxwell this weekend.

The final topping on the cake was today, we went out and whilst out I must have managed to drop my bank card somewhere. I'm so annoyed at myself for losing it and of course I rang up the bank ASAP to cancel it but it now being the weekend I can not access money without asking Ben to go and get it which is a pain!

2013 was full of aims and goals for me, but these are slowly disappearing. I hope we can overcome the huge setback of Ben losing so many hours at his job and I hope he manages with my help to find another job soon. Lets hope 2013 improves for us all.
